This is a continuation thread, the old thread is [split]519243[/split]
Meanwhile BvS drips with deep meaning embedded into every single frame. I recently wrote a term paper on the whole "toxic masculinity vs. positive femininty" aspect of BvS, which is woven through the entire film thematically. It is a deeply substantial film, just not in an obvious way that gets force fed into numb brains that don't like to think.
Personally I had no problem with either! But people claiming Snyder is doing something new and different and innovative is just nonsense, that's what I was referring to. Some people claim Snyder is the only person who gave Superman and Batman reasons not to kill--hence my point.
Superman will be a Green Lantern.
Personally I think JJ Abrams, Bryan Singer, Jon Favreau and Joss Whedon are all great directors but I could never rate them and compare. They are all good at doing certain things. I am not going to claim Zack did something innovative, but his Superman and Batman are different than other movie versions, that to me improves upon them. Superman actually reacts to different stations with the appropriate reaction, something that makes it easy to relate to. All Batmen from the films use brute force in atleast a couple of instances, in BvS however, he actually has a reason (convincing or not) as to why he behaves that way. Again, that is not innovative or anything, but it adds to the emotion. Atleast for me anyway.
Here's something I came across on Facebook.

Snyder's Batman still has to prove himself. He was in the darkest place in BvS.
To be fair Reeve's version didn't kill him. In an extra sequence you see Zod, Ursa locked in ice still alive. So there you go
But my only problem is Snyder's Superman is very reactionary and is too one note for my taste. His Clark Kent and his Superman act the same way and just generally bummed out of his day job and his superhero-ing.
Cavill as a person is not. His personality is Superman's personality but he has to change it and make himself uncharismatic and dull because of Snyder.
Had no idea deleted scenes were canon to films now.
Cavill will get his change in the spotlight with Justice League. It's the perfect opportunity to have the character evolve in the inspiring leader he's meant to be, like Jor-El stated in Man Of Steel.
I can't even form two abs this dude has 8.

I'll take this post seriously instead of looking at it as a piece of humor and wonder why Clark needed to give Lois the kiss of memory sucking.Actually in the Donner Cut Zod, Ursa, and Non still fall down those bottomless pits of the Fortress of Solitude. Later Superman flies around the earth so time is reversed back to the beginning of the movie before the three Kryptonians were freed from the Phantom Zone. So technically Superman still killed in that movie but they did live
