Right. It's really that simple. I mean it's not impossible for WB to deliver a decently reviewed and received genre film. They started off the Fantastic Beast series with a decently reviewed film that's going to make over 800 million dollars. There is not some vendetta against these DC films they are just overly sloppy films. Their goals were to make a dark, gritty and cynical world to contrast what the Marvel movies were putting out and they just haven't been able to pull off the feat well enough for people to accept that tone and outlook in their Cinematic Universe.WB can change the narrative by delivering a crowd-pleaser. Until then it will be susceptible to rumors of poor quality.

In the 'final cut' didn't Batman have literally and I mean literally 90 seconds of actual screen time. No way any version of the film would be much different.about SS

I don't think making good films is easy at all. I think it's very tough.I think it's very close minded and ignorant to think that it's just so easy to make a crowd pleasing film. It really isn't. There's no blueprint into knowing how the audience is going to respond after years of shooting a film, the influences, changes and post production it takes from many people involved. A filmmaker can ONLY make the film they are set out to make and hope to absolute JESUS that it is well received to a mass audience. There's probably an insane amount of moves they decide on to try and think what could make their film better..a tactile insertion that could very well be RIPPED apart by an average film critic. It's a tough business and I respect it.
The problem is WB haven't settled on what type of movies they are making. At this stage all they need is something that is passable, it doesn't have to be epic or thought provoking. Something that is more or less inoffensive and ticks enough of the competent film making boxes. Something that just gets the basics right.
I don't disagree. A passable film would be just fine and would be a step in the right direction. The problem is WB haven't settled on what type of movies they are making. I'd rather they aim big and fail then go for the bare minimum. I'm so tired of watching these movies that don't try.
