Well you know me I'm going to watch and read any and every spoiler because I'm just looking at the situation a different way. I mean I've said all that before.

Yes, but you are making the mistake of bringing in your outside knowledge into the equation, i.e. that Batman is a big deal, I am working from an in-universe perspective where all he has done in his 20 years is fight thugs and criminals, some more flamboyant than others, but still just thugs and criminals in 1 city. That is intrinsically small scale and not befitting of someone who is a major player, now people like Superman, WW, Aquaman etc. and Lex are major players, the others for their powers and connections to ancient civilations and lex for his manipulation of the entire world, for more power over it (not that I support that he was being made to do what he did as that would completely undermine everything about him in BvS if his mission was not his mission but someone else's) working both sides of revolutions in countries around the world by selling weapons to the government then backing up the rebels.

But I'm just not understanding why it's reasonable for Lex, after all of his research, to determine Batman was the best man to merk Superman up and yet it's ridiculous that Darkseid could determine the same. The only real reasoning you have is that Lex resides closer to Batman, but I'd think a god with (as another poster put it) cosmic knowledge would know about Batman as well.

I'm not even in the camp that thinks Darkseid did any of that, but I don't think it's implausible either.

Lex wanted a capable human fighter with no connection to him to do it so that it couldn't easily be brought back to him that way if he wins then Superman is dead, if Superman wins then he has now forced Superman to sully himself and proved his point by bringing him down where he would then use his own personal Superman to do it if need be. He also needed the right target to persuade Superman into fighting without having to reveal himself, now that didn't work but the idea is sound and Batman where he was in his life and what he was doing was the perfect target and he was nearby. Whereas Darkseid has none of those motivations for it to be a human and to leave it to chance, he would just want it to be done so it would make more sense to send someone else to do it with more of an assured chance at victory I think he would probably do what Lex did with Zod and turn him into a monster that he could control, and where Lex would fail, Darkseid would probably succeed due to his powers and even if he doesn't he still kills Superman.

I don't think it is impossible but it would certainly be contrived and would really ruin the story that came before.

*Thinking of the Doomsday option that is the only part I would be okay with a Darkseid influence, him subtly swaying Lex to make a Doomsday as it works both as a viable backup plan for Lex and perfect for Darkseid as something he could maybe control and if not it still ravages the earth and weakens it until he arrives to kick its ass and kill it.

"Snyder doesn't owe anybody anything. For every person who calls him a hack, I'd say F it and not show a single frame of the movie until November!"

Cat: Come with me...
Snyder: OK!
Fans: NOOOOO where's muh trailer goddamn Snyder!!

WB controls the budget and the marketing, not Zack Snyder. I'm guessing everybody knows that.

From some guy who is working on the vfx of JL. Found these on twitter :

Goes by the name patokali or something. Pretty cool.

If Dwayne reunites with his San Andreas director, I hope they bring Alexandra Daddario into the mix. She's a beautiful one.

Patricio Ruales is an incredibly talented conceptual artist, but he's not a part of the current visual effects team. Good find, though!

Ah, I see. He is working on JL though right?

Nope. Patricio's a freelance artist, but he isn't involved in any aspect of the film's production. He does his own stuff.

Here's his DeviantArt page.

Ahh, I was fooled! I was under the impression he was doing work for JL, and so re many people on twitter. Haha :D

Yeah, we've been posting his stuff on here for years over in the manip thread.

Believe it or not, IMDB is a fairly decent resource when it comes to film crew info.

I know it's probably not gonna happen, 'twas just a rumor after all but still Jeff Bridges as Darkseid by BossLogic Inc:

Yeah not trusting him again.

Talk so much about the failure of the DCEU in the cinema and I made a list in comparison to the so spoken success of the MCU in terms of box office, note that for only 3 films of a first phase the DCEU is not bad at all:

1) Avengers
2) Avengers age of ultron
3) Iron Man 3
4) Civil War
5) Batman y superman
6) Guardians of the galaxy
7) Suicide Squad
8) Captain america the Winter Soldier
9) Man of steel
10) Doctor strange
11) Thor the Dark World
12) Iron Man 2
13) Iron Man
14) Ant Man
15) Thor
16) Captain America First Avenger
17) Incredible Hulk

Yeah but DC has bigger IPs so they had that advantage. SS did gangbusters in the BO, MOS was great too(if you take in the context, and it coming off SR). BvS earned the most money, but it had the potential for more. DCEU movies are not the financial failures people claim, but they have potential to do much better.
