Yes, but you are making the mistake of bringing in your outside knowledge into the equation, i.e. that Batman is a big deal, I am working from an in-universe perspective where all he has done in his 20 years is fight thugs and criminals, some more flamboyant than others, but still just thugs and criminals in 1 city. That is intrinsically small scale and not befitting of someone who is a major player, now people like Superman, WW, Aquaman etc. and Lex are major players, the others for their powers and connections to ancient civilations and lex for his manipulation of the entire world, for more power over it (not that I support that he was being made to do what he did as that would completely undermine everything about him in BvS if his mission was not his mission but someone else's) working both sides of revolutions in countries around the world by selling weapons to the government then backing up the rebels.
But I'm just not understanding why it's reasonable for Lex, after all of his research, to determine Batman was the best man to merk Superman up and yet it's ridiculous that Darkseid could determine the same. The only real reasoning you have is that Lex resides closer to Batman, but I'd think a god with (as another poster put it) cosmic knowledge would know about Batman as well.
I'm not even in the camp that thinks Darkseid did any of that, but I don't think it's implausible either.
From some guy who is working on the vfx of JL.
Goes by the name patokali or something. Pretty cool.
Patricio Ruales is an incredibly talented conceptual artist, but he's not a part of the current visual effects team. Good find, though!
Ah, I see. He is working on JL though right?
Nope. Patricio's a freelance artist, but he isn't involved in any aspect of the film's production. He does his own stuff.
Here's his DeviantArt page.
Ahh, I was fooled! I was under the impression he was doing work for JL, and so re many people on twitter. Haha
