I agree with Hippie hunter. I'll check, but does Wikipedia list all of the members, the 60+? Or not. So, in Justice League Unlimited, they didn't bring in Black Canary....why? I know they had a black GL and 2 women to be more diverse. Also, I've never seen any other GL on TV, so I can't decide what GL I like the best. There were 4 right, Hal, John, Alan, and Alan's daughter whats her name. Also, I'm confused about COIE and IC. There are now 4 flashes: Barry Allen, Bart Allen, Wally West(JL and JLU) and Jay Garrick. I don't get how they all survived and are in the same continuity, yet only one other Superman lived, and then he died.
Black Canary was on JLU, she featured prominently in the series as Green Arrow's love interest (you see her at the end of the first episode of JLU, in fact).
As to the Flashes, the explanation is actually simpler than for the Lanterns. The first Flash, Jay Garrick, was active in World War II and was a founding member of the Justice Society of America. Thanks to the magic of Doctor Fate, Garrick and his wife age much slower than normal people. Garrick retired at the height of McCarthyism. Decades after Garrick came Barry Allen (Barry was the Flash on Superfriends, as well as the live action TV series). Barry's nephew, Wally West, inherited superspeed in an identical accident to the one that gave Barry his powers. Wally became the first Kid Flash, and he and Barry became stalwart protectors of Central City. Barry also helped found the Justice League of America. However, Barry's life took a turn for the worse when his mortal enemy, Professor Zoom (Eobard Thawne, a time traveler from the 30th century) discovered his secret identity. After Zoom tried killed Barry's wife, Allen killed Professor Zoom in a fit of rage. The Flash was then wanted for the murder of Professor Zoom, a storyline that ended with Barry traveling to the 30th century with his resurrected wife. There, Barry and Iris Allen had children. However, not even a different time could diminish Allen's sense of duty, and during the Crisis on Infinite Earths, it was Barry Allen who saved Earth by destroying the Anti-Matter Cannon of the Anti-Monitor. Tragically, Barry lost his life in the attempt when he traveled faster than light and was lost to another dimension.
Wally West became the Flash after Barry's death, assuming the mantle of his mentor. While Wally was the Flash, he met the young speedster Impulse (Bart Allen), Barry's grandson from the 30th century! After the events of the Infinite Crisis, Wally West was, just as Barry had been in the Crisis on Infinite Earths, pulled to another dimension, along with his wife Linda and their two children. Bart Allen, aged rapidly due to events in Infinite Crisis, is now the Flash of Central and Keystone cities, taking over for Jay Garrick.
So, while there's only one Superman, the title and mantle of the Flash is much more of a legacy.
