Wow! Thanks guys!

Thanks! I really feel like I'm close to to nailing it as far as the design goes. I usually tiptoe around a bunch of themes and looks for characters, like the Lizard (I have a bunch of very rough sketches), but the Mysterio one has gotten good feedback and I feel pretty confident in it. I'm planning on doing a fully colored version soon.

There was only one design I did recently that I feel very confident in. I'll post that one soon. It's a Batman redesign.

 

In the meantime, this is a watercolor Two-Face pic I did with Josh Lucas as Harvey Dent. This was done last year, before Eckhart was announced. I liked the picture more when it was black and white, and regret not scanning it then. I also hate the seering backround I threw in, too. Not my best work, but not my worst.

 

I did a very rough sketch of the Joker, but right now I'm more focused on the Mysterio pic, which I just started on a final copy. I'm not sure when I'll get around to the Joker, but hopefully it'll be soon. Just remember to keep an eye out!



Anyway, this is a gun design I did for a contest for the game Army of Two. You basically had to think of a gun design and submit it to them. I chose a sniper rifle with a tactical shotgun mounted below it. My submission was never posted online because for some reason, even though they were accepting submissions to June 15th, there are no entries shown past June 3rd. Oh, and this is colored pencil.

Thanks, as well! I was originally thinking about doing possibly an assault rifle with a shotgun mounted under it, but then I switched to the sniper rifle idea. Funny thing was, when I was looking at gun pictures online, there really is an assault rifle with a shotgun mounted underneath it. Who knew?

Just ceck out what I'm doing with the Mysterio pic! It's really hard to see, I know, but I tried to darken the pic just to define the lines a little more. I decided to post the picture at each step of the process. This is just the first; pencil draft. Next will come solid blacks, then black and white, and then color!

And this is the next step in the process. I plugged in all the areas that will be black, or very close to black. I may have to go back and throw another layer onto some spots just ensure they stay as dark as possible.

Wow! Thanks! I'm going to give some serious thought and let you know pretty soon. I've never tried to make a website, so the whole thing seems pretty intimidating.

And I want to thank everyone for their compliments! I've got a bunch of new sketches I'll be posting soon. Right now, they're all pretty rough, but I figured I'd show you guys anyway! Expect to see concepts for Dead Pool, Hal Jordan's Green Lantern, and Bizarro.
