Yossi Szpigiel wants to know more about this regenerative ability Claire and Kensei display. "We saw that Claire's body parts can re-grow if cut off and it seems that Kensei has the same power as Claire. Now, one of the Kensei legends says he carved out his own heart and gave it to a dragon ad some say he survived. Is it possible that there is some truth to this legend and he in fact did cut out his heart and (due to his power) regrew another heart and survived it?"
If that is true, we want to see that happen on the show! That would be cooler than Claire regenerating in the Coroner's office!

First off, nothing would be cooler than Claire on the Coroner's office. But, Yossi, you're on an interesting path on the Kensei legend….

I kinda figured that that'll happen later. Just hope it comes out pretty cool.

Then I wonder what the "dragon" would be.

I think the real Kensei spoiler is...
he's Linderman. C'mon, he's english, he can regenerate, Linderman can heal, and he had Kensei's sword. He even said Hiro stole "his" sword.

I think it's kinda odd no one else pointed this out yet.

he isn't. the writers have said he's not:

Andrew has an interesting theory about Kensei he'd like to share. "Could Kensei actually be Linderman? They look alike and if their healing factor can slow their aging he could still be alive, and after hundreds of years he could have figured out how to use his powers to heal others. This would also explain why he has Kensei's sword. If I am close, just wink."

Hold on a second, there's something in our eye. Oh, now it's out. To answer your question, Kensei is not Linderman.

because the producers have said kensei isnt linderman and the reason he said it was "his" sword is just because it was part of "his" colection and plus if liderman was kensei he would of healed once D.L to his han out of lindermans head a la shard of glass and peter

Um, that doesn't really make sense though. They even sound alike. Maybe the writers are just throwing people off the trail?

damage to the brain is fatal. it is the achille's heel of the hero.

How do we know he didn't heal? This is based off comic books, after all.

makes sense to me.

Nivek - What doesn't make sense to you?

Did anyone else notice that Deveux is black? He must be D.L.! Nah, I'm being harsh on you. I think it's possible Linderman could be a decendent of Kensei and I think it's a liekly assumption.

yeah but with peter and claire there needs to be constant damage stopping there brain from healling cus claire had stick in her brain they pulled it out she healed same with peter and the shard of glas

not constant but permanent. both instances were highly suggestive that if the brain is destroyed, so is the ability. that's why Eden killed herself by blowing her brains out...so that Sylar couldn't get her power.

Well, I really doubt that Lindermans dead.

What's odd about the Kensei/Linderman thing is all the connections, like the Symbol, the sword, the accent, the nationality, the powers, ect.

Too much points in one direction, and the writers can come back later and say "yeah, we lied".

weve seen there brain regenerate atleast twice and nivek they dont have the same power give up your wrong

All the connections are a decent point, but if Kensei can heal just about anything like Claire.....his skin cells would constantly be regenrating. Basically he wouldn't get old and wrinkly lol, just like Wolverine.

The Dragon is Linderman:
From heroeswiki.com
"And then he died. When the Dragon saw what Kensei was willing to sacrifice for his people (and his love) he was so moved that he replaced Kensei’s heart and breathed fire-life back into the swordsman."

or how about this...Nakamura is the dragon? in the tale, the dragon teaches sword skills to Kensei, and we've already seen Nakamura teach sword skills to Hiro.

from the heroeswiki: Later, during Kensei's wedding to a princess, the gigantic Dragon descended, blocking out the sun, and demanded his price be paid. Kensei cleverly cut out his own heart and gave it to the Dragon with the explanation, "My love is in here; take it!" Some say that the Dragon looked upon Kensei's love and honor with mercy, and brought him back to life. There are those who also believe Kensei and the princess ran away together with the Dragon.

i'm gonna have to watch these when i get home:
