Kevin Bacon Starring in Tremors Series

OMG this just made my day. YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

Now they just need to get Fred Ward.

TV version, as well (the 13-episode Tremors: The Series that aired on SciFi Channel in 2003).

huh, don't recall seeing it

I saw it and it was very awkwardly done. They had other monsters in it from some kind of toxic radioactive leak creating mutants and only El Blanco the white, sterile graboid featured in it.

I do wonder how much of the movies they intend to keep, and if we'll be seeing any Burt Gummer involvement.

Given Bacon's involvement, I can see them Halloween H20'ing it. Which is to say, everything he wasn't involved in is trashed.

Aww yeah. This could be good.

NETFLIX THIS ****!

Man, netflix is my answer for everything these days. :p

Amazing, this film was like our go-to in elementary school...

On epic VHS nonetheless.

It was mentioned before how he was interested in coming back to the franchise but yeah, no one expected them to do another television series with him in it.

That makes sense. It's not like anyone gives a sh** about those Michael Gross DTV sequels.

I tried to watch some of Tremors 2 once and it was just god-awful. The guy they brought it to replace Kevin Bacon was one of the worst actors I have ever seen. Fred Ward did what he could, but that movie sucked so hard.

Fred Ward needs to be in more stuff he did alright in part 2. It was too much of a tease to see him for just a few minutes in TD season 2.

Bacon has been low on cash lately though after losing out to Bernie Madoff. I hate to be cynical about it but part of me wonders if that's why he wants to hop back in the saddle as Val.

Loved the movies. Put this on Netflix!

I liked Tremors 2 and even 3. I really disliked 4 but 5 was a step up. The original television series isn't even worth mentioning canonically because it had so little to do with the actual monsters of the franchise.

Netflix would be the ideal. No commercials, no ratings to fuss over, no restrictions on the content...

Interesting news. I agree that Fred Ward (and Michael Gross) has to be in this.

I just watched Tremors 5 a couple days ago and it was much better than I expected.

Fred Ward and Bacon had great chemistry together. Fred is a bit older nowadays, but I'd really like to see him involved. Seeing them give each other **** the whole movie is what makes it one of my favorites.

Agreed. They were really good together in that movie. I mean I would be happy to watch a show/movie with just those characters and no graboids if that's what they wanted to make.

I would watch a show with just Bacon and Ward going from town to town across America and teaching local teenagers how to dance. :hehe:

Awesome news, I've been wanting Bacon to return to the franchise so bad since part 2. I never thought he would and if he did I would have guessed it was for a big sequel film for some new tv show is great too!

I love the franchise and so I'll definetly be checking this out, I also sure hope this becomes a Netflix show!

I've always wanted Bacon to return to the franchise too, I had always thought he was "too good" for it after he got to his highest point in stardom, but I think he holds the movie in pretty high regard, especially after that Logitech commercial a couple years back.

As exciting as Kevin being back is I'll be honest. I have no interest if they skip on bringing Michael Gross back.

Why the hate for Michael Gross? Burt was a fun character.

Sorry if I wrote it wrong. I mean if Burt isn't in the new show I won't watch. He is more important to me then Kevin Bacon.

Burt is the only main thread in the entire series at this point.
