Can anyone point out a site that lists key plot points for Spider-Man, Punisher, Hulk, Daredevil, or The X-Men?

Thanks in advance.

Wikipedia is a good place to start. or the Marvel Website.

by Key Plot Points, do you mean essential stories to read? Major events in their lives?

Well, they've all got about a MILLION of them of varying degrees, wikipedia would be best to get you up to date. I can suggest some good reading material for those characters if you'd like

I mean just a listing of the major events, but if you could list those good reads, that would be cool as well.

Wikipedia will give you the goods, on that, not a replacement for reading the books though. If you're just getting into comics though be careful, when I restarted 6 months ago I ruined some stories that I later ended up reading through spoilers. Addictive though they may be SPOILERS RUIN LIVES...as well as funding terrorism through the sale of pirate dvds

also if your policy is strictly make mine marvel you should try this

http://www.marveldirectory.com/directory.htm

it's not 100% up to date but it's still awesome for older background info

Speaking of which there was something called the marvel database project that someone tried to set up, went on it a couple of times and it's baiscally a marvel only wiki. Thing is it seems like it hasn't got much info on it, all someone needs to do is copy and paste from wiki but for some reason it looks like it's been abandoned. :( Would have been really good for getting new readers up to speed so they don't get freaked out by the ammount of reading that would otherwise be necesary

oh yeah, I remembver a guy coming here and trying to pimp his website that was like that, and we were all like "um, there's nothing on it. There're hundreds of artciles that're just space holders for different characters with no actual information on them."

hey Rellings, I've thrown a lot of recommendations your way, what have you picked up so far?

Well, I haven't picked up too many comics from my LCS except, Wolverine: Origins # 1 - 4 (Slow as hell but hopin it picks up, and Wolvie's still my fav) Civil War #1 Directors Cut ( they were outta regular ish's, and I thought I'd grab it for when I catch up from reading back issues) and Giant-Size Hulk #1(I was lucky this was still in when I got it, heard it was sold out, and it was the last copy.

The reason I haven't picked up too many new comics, is because I just ordered a whole mess of hardcovers and TPB's.

So far I have ordered, Wolverine Volume 1: Brotherhood TPB, Wolverine Volume 2: Coyote Crossing TPB, Wolverine Volume 3: Return Of The Native TPB, Wolverine: Enemy Of The State Volume 1 Hc, Wolverine: Enemy Of The State Volume 2 Hc, House Of M: World Of M Featuring Wolverine TPB, Wolverine: Origins & Endings Premiere Hc, and that just about does it for Wolverine.

Next for Hulk I ordered, starting after the Bruce Jones run, Incredible Hulk: Tempest Fugit TPB, House Of M: Incredible Hulk Tpb, and Incredible Hulk: Planet Hulk Prelude TPB.

For Punisher, Punisher Max Volume 1 Hc, Punisher Max Volume 2 Hc, and Punisher MAX Volume 5: The Slavers TPB.

And finally I am waiting for the Hardcover reprint of Daredevil Volume #1 because all the stores I order from are out of the current print. Guess they pulled it since the reprint is suppose to be coming in Aug/Sept. I might order the other Hardcovers ahead of time though.

So that's what I've purchased so far, I don't think my wallet will ever recover. I have already gone into my LCS and set up a pull-list account, for when I'm all caught up on those three titles, and eventually the fourth. Im also thinking about grabbin all the Runaways and The Walking Dead TPB's or HC's.

eh, god I hate wolverine so much.....

you're getting the Hosue of M tie-ins, but have you read the main House of M? Those books might not mean a whole lot to you if you haven't, and it's a different reality so they aren't even really in-continuity

DD HC vol 1 you might be able to get off Amazon. You can also go straight to Hardcover vol 2, since it's a completely new story with few ties to HC vol 1

The Runaways, Walking Dead, and Invincible hardcovers I CANNOT recommend enough, they are all fantatsic reads

No I haven't read the main House Of M, there is a TPB of it though, maybe I'll pick that up as well. I thought the tie-ins show the whole thing from the perspective of the book's main character, but I guess to get the full experience and understanding I'll have to read that as well.

Heh, a man after my own black heart.

You've got a damn good base for getting back into the roll of things, but as Elijya said, you'd do well to get the primary HoM story if you're going to get the tie ins, it'll fill in the blanks....and leave new ones.

But rest assured that you won't be disappointed with the Runaways.

Trust this man!!! I took his advice on Runaways, one of the best books I've read since...since...(I never thought I'd say this)...gone to texas. READ THIS BOOK. I really need to start reading some stuff I don't like, I'm so sick of writing possitive comments...perhaps I should pick up some superman trades ;)
