i was curious if anyone was following KA3? i've read them all starting when KA1 came out. and i couldn't find any forums out there so i figured i'd start a thread here

KA1 i thought was pretty damn good! i collected the books, and saw the movie and prefer the book over the movie. when the second books came out i thought colonel stars was going to take over the and make up for the short role that bid daddy had, and this was the time that millar could make up for daddy's short role. but nope... the colonel got 2 issues and then got erased...

i hate how the character development works... KA3 ive read and waiting on the final issue now, and im quiet disappointed.. they made huge character development with the new character "the juicer" 3 maybe even 4 books he was in, and the books looked as though it was building him up for something BIG, maybe bigger then colonel stars, and big daddy but...
nope...only to be shot in the face awhile eating a hot dog...
what the heck already..

i havent read any of his other books but does he do the same thing? build up these super cool characters and then kill them off with out them even doing anything?

im curious to see what happen in the last book, but im completely disappointed with the 3rd series and was curious how other fans felt?

I can't mess with a book that comes out once every 4 or 5 months.

He did the same think in one of the Ultimate Comics: Avengers books, where he hyped Perun and other new characters, only for them to be killed by vampires pretty fast.

Just the last issue is left of it, right?

Yes.

It will probably be out by October. :o

yeah only 1 issue left, i guess its a double issue? 1 book, twice the page count?

runaway it gets really frustrating, the due date only was may 5th, and with out any notification i was still under that impression. when i went to my local comic book store only to learn it was pushed off until june 11th...

we will wait and see

im glad to know its not only kick-ass that has had this problem

the series isnt too too bad, it could be allot better and allot worse... just wish he went in different directions, allot of wasted pages with stuff we dont need and then to see them killed off with out even a fight.. why waste our time reading the pervious garbage?

This kind of stuff has been going on forever. Laziness and lateness is what held Image back from giving DC and Marvel a real run for their money. There were no editors like a Jim Shooter to ride them and make sure deadlines were met.

Joe Madureira is another example. He was the hottest artist in the industry at a time then decided to branch off on his own. His creator owned book, Battlechasers, released to much fanfare and almost quickly fell out of favor because the guy couldn't maintain focus.

Some guys have the discipline, some guys don't.
