Is anyone here gonna buy the extended 3 disc dvd set?

I was wondering, if I'am the only one who's gonna buy it. I though the film was great, except for the damn too long first hour. But the extended scens and new scenes will be action stuff, more kong killing millitary and more new dinosaurs and other insects I think. plus the making of alone will be worth the price. I read somewhere that it is a three hour documentary explaining every detail of the production. How can we expect less from the guys who gave us the LOTR extended edtion dvds. What do you guys think?

I'm getting it tomorrow.
I've been waiting forever to buy this movie, so I didn't buy the regular version.

I loved the film.

I saw a Triceratop in the commercial. :wow:
'Nuff said.

:D

i didnt know it could get longer

almost 40 minutes Kaboom

I really enjoyed Kong. I didn't buy the first DVD because I knew this was coming out. I can't wait to watch it on my new TV.

i wonder if peter jackson films all this extra fotageknowing itll never make it into the movie, but just for the Extended cuts

I didn't think it was possible to "extend" King Kong...

I heard the new scenes are great. Especially the rafting scene. I can't wait to see it.

Its funny how people ***** about remakes, unless Peter Jackson makes one, especially one as needlessly as this. Old version was much better, and the original Jackson one was already waaay too long. Didn't like it, won't buy this one or any other Lucas-inspired re-releases of this overrated movie. The only KK in my collection is the superb original black and white '33 version.

While that's fine and dandy, many of us can appreciate both the 33 version and Peter Jackson's remake.

My KKEE DVD is in the mail on its way to me.:D Here is the back cover if anyone is interested.

Hmmm .....

Well I liked Jackson's remake, and even bought the production diaries set, so I really can't see myself skipping this one.

I wonder if there will be three types of commentries like were in the rings extended edtions. The reason i like Peter Jacksons extended cuts is this. He doesn't ruin the movies like Lucas but inhances it to be an even better movie.

P.J should give extended cut dvd education to Harry Potter and Pirates Of The Caribbean producers.

His KK already is an extended version of the original so I don't see any point other than double dipping.

Now Potter could use extended editions since they're based on books so the missing scenes aren't just extras to fans. We not only want them but already know what they are.

I'm pretty sure he does.

38 minutes extra?! geez, i could easily think of 38 minutes that needed to be cut! honestly, i thought the film was okay. but it could have been spectacular if they did some serious trimming of all the unecessary footage.

I didn't buy the first edition cause I figured something like this was coming out, so yah, I'll be picking it up.
