Has anyone seen the new KOF? So far they changed up the character sprites, looks like it might be some competition for Street Fighter 4

I'm really excited for this game, SNK has been through some rough times, but now it looks like their starting over fresh. I heard that they have a few more fighters to reveal, so we'll probably be looking at about 20 or so characters, I hope they include K' as well.

I think they have different voice talent this time around, I was watching some gameplay videos and Terry did sound a little different. Oh well, its still gonna be kickass.

she wasnt in the Arcade version but the console port will have more characters so its possible she might make the roster

Looks interesting, but the roster seems smaller than before, or maybe there are alot more to unlock. I doubt it'd dethrone SFIV (I don't think any fighting games can do it this year), but when you need a break from SFIV this will be a nice substitute. I do hope Mai will be one of the unlockables.

Btw, will you guys get KOF or SS, or both?

The roster is small bc the entire game was done using newly drawn sprites and backgrounds and those took a long time to do

I already have SF IV. I dont think I'l get KoF as I wasnt a big SNK fan. Maybe when its discounted, but not right away

yeah I hope the console roster is MUCH larger
the characters I've seen so far look AMAZING!
but KOF rosters are usually so big

I don't understand why they left our Mai in the arcade roster. She is easily one of the most recognizable characters from Fatal Fury and KOF series, and a staple like Chun-Li is for Street Fighter. Doesn't seemed like her absence can be justified, when you have all three FF fighters (Terry, Andy, Joe) on the roster.

They left her out of the arcade roster for the last KoF game as well but she luckily showed up in the PS2 version

surprised Joe is even there bc he's usually once of the first to be cut

yeah, the mission to unlock her was hard I remember
ou had to beat every other female in the game in a row
it was a long battle
but well worth it
