one of my friends told me that Bruce Timm said something about doing a Kingdom Come Animated Feature DVD is this true ?

It may be, but it hasn't been officially announced yet.

As long as he doesn't change it as drastically as he did Doomsday.
It would make an epic cartoon for sure.

can we please get a new style? does everything have to be like TAS?

It'd be kind of interesting if they tried to emulate Alex Ross' style by incorporating what Richard Linklater did with "A Scanner Darkly."

Well, the recent New Frontier movie has a different style more in line with the comic book. I would imagine that Timm would do the same thing with Kingdom Come.

Ross' style would be incredibly difficult to animate due to the amount of detail.

i'd like to see that or The Knightfall saga. Or who knows, bring us Dark Knight Returns... that or bring us the adaptation of JUSTICE

Preach it!

Though it is nice that NEW FRONTIER doesn't look too much like the previous TAS stuff.

teh TAS style worked when batman came out plus it was very primitive so it was easier to made. then for superman they used the same style so that they could then have batman and superman together.

but now i think its time for something new. the style that they use on saturday morning is good for kids that are 5. but for a dvd movie they need something better.

The problem/issue is the rule of the almighty dollar. I think was Timm or Dini that said they go with the simplistic character designs because they farm out the actual animaton duties overseas.

Meaning they have to keep it as simple as possible for the children WB has chained to drawing tables that they pay one grain of rice per frame.

the cartoons dont have to have details i jsut want some more detail in supermans eyes.

and i want that batman and superman have shoulders

I hear ya. I still can't get past those stupid cheek lines Superman has in the recent Doomsday movie.

Well, if it's any consolation I sat in on the focus group regarding the Batman Anime series and WB is looking to create more DC anime. So something very different is on the way.
