I just got this on dvd. Little intimidated of the running time because few movies can keep momentum up for over 2 hours, but hey, I love aliens and king kong and even like titanic, so wish me luck

Visually it's great, but the story is all broken
Can you return it?
Trust me, the DC (which I saw over the weekend) is FAAAAN-FREAKING-TASTIC.
Of course it's a masterpiece, it's by Ridley Scott!

If only Fox would have released that instead of their sheetay "OMG CUT IT SO IT'S ALL ACTION AND SO WE CAN FIT MORE SHPWINGS" version.....

Return it and buy the 4 disc set, it will be available soon I'm sure

The 4 Disc Director's Cut version is infinitely better than the 2 Disc Theatrical Cut version. But then again, it's over 3 over hours so long so...

Ah that's fair enough....I just find that a lot of longer cuts tend to be self indulgent ego trips for directors, but some genuinely add worthwhile stuff (ie all of james camerons movies).

I'll keep an eye out for it when it hits these shores.
