Something similar happened to me. Is it a protocol error (2006)? If so, it is because you have one or two files that is corrupt or the PS3 cannot recognize. If you just have one bad file, it will not allow to veiw any of your vids. If you want, PM me with specifics and I think I can help.
GL.
No, I'm not getting a protocol error... it identifies the media server... but it doesn't see any of my files.
Dammit, Zen... clear your box. I wanted to ask you why you were probationary banned.
...that's not accurate
OK. Are you looking for the videos from the XMB video icon? In other words you would got to the Video Icon>Meda Server>Video Folder>Playlists>Movies. I know it is silly, but some try to access videos through the Music or Photo icon. Another thing you can try, is to make sure your UPnP service is enabled to manual. Here's how:Yes ma'am. And as it was, that's already checked. Funny thing, it's picking up the title of a playlist I have in my WMP... but it's not attaching any files to that playlist even though there's about 22. So basically, I don't know what to do.
I love Leslie Neilson!!!!OK. Are you looking for the videos from the XMB video icon? In other words you would got to the Video Icon>Meda Server>Video Folder>Playlists>Movies. Click Start
Click Programs
Click Administrative Tools
Click Services
Scroll down to Universal Plug and Play Device Host
Double click Universal Plug and Play Device Host
Set the Startup type to Automatic and click the Start button in that window to start the service
If you don't see the Administrative Tools in the Programs you will need to right mouse click down in your taskbar and go to Properties, from there click the Start Menu tab and click the Customize... button, just check Display Administrative Tools and then click OK.

no problem asking I love helping in these situations. If you have a 1080p television then games running at 720p will always work and look just fine. The games will still run at their native resolution.
PS3 is GREAT as a universal media player. Its the best BR player on the market and really good as an upscaling DVD player. You can stream all your media files, including music and now most of your video files wirelessly from your PC. Plus it has a fully functional internet browser. You defiently wont be disappointed in its abilities here. As far as games go, listen to Electrok UK. Uncharted is a must.
When do you plan on getting one?
