Kitty vs. Rogue

unfortunately, but in the movies, Rogue would pobably cry and hide. Kitty was way smartest. Jeez, Rogue cant even get her seatbelt right
I love Rogue, but she would lose in seconds

it IS her fault or did she need Storm to go there and teach "Ok, now Rogue, you take this part and put it over this part. Now just push it. Ready, you are now protected". Eveerybody else could handle their belts, but Rogue couldnt

If it's the movies, then Kitty all the way. She's feisty, quick thinking and tough. She had some clever tactics against Juggernaut. She faked him to keep running one way while she took off to the side, she immobilized him temporarily by dragging him into the floor, and she took advantage of Leech's power to give Juggernaut a big headache. Not to mention in X2 she did some clever moves to avoid being shot and captured when the mansion was attacked.

Movie Rogue has some moments but her field tactics seem to be similar to Colossus': hiding behind objects, peeping out ocassionally and going "EEP!" whenever something scary happens.

It's not just about powers, it's about how cleverly the mutant can wield them. Therefore, I give the trophy to Kitty

Rogue takes off her gloves and charges

Kitty waves to Rogue and phases out

[15 minutes later] Rogue is completely exhausted after trying to hit Kitty with every blunt object (rocks, branches, baseball bats, etc) she can come across. Kitty stands there bored, filing her nails.

Kitty sinks into the ground, pops out under Rogue, grabs her feet and drags rogue into the ground to her waist, then pops back up and stands over Rogue.

Victory!

As much as I love Rogue and dislike Kitty, Kitty would almost definately win this battle. Rogue would only have a chance if Kitty slipped up and phased back into solid mass and Rogue managed to strike at that very moment.

Only if she borrowed someone's powers before the round starts. The Rogue we see in the film is limited to being a giant sponge for sucking up someone's lifeforce. Otherwise she's quite human. I suppose they could teach her some martial arts and hand to hand combat so she doesn't spend all her time hiding behind things when things are going down

Don't underestimate Rogue's powers! i believe that she probably one of the most gifted mutants. Her power is really unique.

Rouge could beat anyone if she touched them long enough.. but I really dont see her winning this battle unless it was some sort of sneak attack..

Or if it's a fight where they can't use their powers. Unarmed, no special abilities hand to hand combat. You'd hope they at least got some martial arts training. Scott seemed to put some good moves on Lady Deathstryke and the prison guard in X2.

I would be surprised if Rogue had never received no kind of martial arts training of any kind. Bear in mind that Rogue has been a member of the X-Men Team for about 3 years now, surely she has had an immense amount of training.

I would be pretty certain that Rogue has learned some hand-to-hand skills, but there was just not oppurtunity for her to display them in the movie. The Danger Room could've been an example but there were no hand-to-hand type enemies for her to take on.
