If this were real, wouldn't they be into pre-production already? Last I heard (at Cinescape), Universal was trying to figure out exactly how to go about making this movie - i.e. straight or spoofed - and they were leaning toward spoofed. Which makes me think that poster's fake all the more.

I don't know about the Trans Am being 'part of the lore', either, but KITT HAS always been a Pontiac if memory serves..."Knight Rider 2000" at least had him based on the Banshee concept car. The Solstice or the Sky would probably better look the part with a top and with covered headlights...but as far as him 'blending in', that Glen Larson 'Cylon' sensor would kinda create problems, wouldn't it?

Also, seeing as how the next-gen Firebird and GTO are going to be more retro, they will not have that sleek look. So, let's go exotic. Get that sleek look, i.e. Lamborghini Gallardo.

Well, I think we all know it would have to be a mod.

The Trans Am was modded, and then there's the capabilities of the car. I mean.....do we want it to jump like the Tumbler (although, technically....K.I.T.T. did it first in the series).

We all know it WILL be black, that much we know. And the Red visor in the front is a given.

I just cannot see it being the old Trans Am. It would be wwwaaaayyyy too dated.

They wouldn't need to CGI a vehicle. If they can create the Batmobile for Batman Begins, they can create a vehicle for Knight Rider.

I think you can choose a model, and just mod the hell out of it. Modding it, it could evnd up looking like you built it yourself.

Well, I think no matter what...the car will need to be modded.

The question is, how much?

The red visor....the interior too would have to be modded.

I guess it would also depend on the story too, if wheter they want it to look like a car or make it look completely out of this world. But, it needs to look cool. That's a given.

I do hope that it's not a joke. Not a spoof, ya know.

I say do a remake of the beginning of Knight Rider. Have Michael get shot in the face all over again, get his face re-done to look like Wilton Knight's son...and have him inherit everything, and become Michael Knight......it'd be great if done right.

Aww no Hasselhoff for Night Rider... imo a mistake. They could give him an upgraded car with the same computer of the original car from the series.

Now Im a big KR fan been one since 82....but even I know this is good direction to go. The new kids don't remember the show like you and I plus if they make it dark and more adult Im all for it.
