This is destroying nature.

Soon this kind of trait will get into wild animals, and make it that much easier for non-fluorescent animals to stalk and kill them.

I wasn't aware that their plan was to release large quantities of these domestic, fluorescent canines into the wild

Not only that, but if they are so vulnerable to predation, how could they reliably pass on their genes to so-called "wild" populations?

Seems like the low fitness = extinction of the gene.

They might be able to insert genes that can combat Parkison disease or help people with cystic fibrosis and or sickle cell amenia.
 
I wonder if their sh** glows. Not that I'm into dogsh** but it'll help against standing in dogsh** at night, which is never nice.
