This is one of the greatest Spidey stories ever written.
The artwork is fantastic, and the tone of the story is really dark.
I don't want to spoil anything by giving away the plot and story details,
but trust me you'll love it!!!

I actually have the single issues, of KLH. I was more curious how the HC itself was (special features, color quality, etc.). Kraven's last hunt is one of my favorite Spidey stories, so I was going to get it in HC form too.

The artwork looks much better, because it is printed on glossy paper.
I'm not sure about this edition, but the one I bought in 1988 had
info. on the writer, penciler, and inker plus background info. the story and the contraversy surrounding Kraven's suicide.

Hardcovers are always nice, but I was particularly looking forward to this purchase. I'm a fan of the story (which is great) and there's a pretty good intro by Dematties and a good set of art (mostly black and whites, but 2 standout color pics) at the end. Additionally, the story art benefits from the paper choice; the colors are vibrant. More than worth my $20.

Mmmm Canadian prices keep me out, again. Why the hell should I pay $32 Canadian, on a $19 American, item . Considering exchange would make it only $22 canadian!

It’s not really ridiculous. Collected editions are kept in stock and in print for a long time. It would be ridiculous and cause more confusion to be changing the prices of these month to month. There would be $19.99 US books that could have up to five different prices on them at any given time. We feel it’s much more prudent for collected edition prices to remain consistent across the board for the foreseeable future.

That is stupid but you can still get it at a fair price.
$21.12 at amazon.ca It doesn't come out until Sept.6 And I'm sure Indigo's online site will have it around the same price. Sure there is shipping but buy something else for $18-$20 like a DVD or book or TPB (gift for someone else?), qualify for super save shipping and you wait an extra day or two for it to arrive. Don't give Marvel the satisfaction.

Il obviously pick this up in HC because its one of my fav ever SM stories.
I do however think that considering I have already got the trade w/ glossy pages there should be more extras in this edition.
Like some rough pencils or retro industry reviews.

I've never found Fearful Symmetry to be equal to the praise it gets. It's a 4/5 for me, not a 5/5. I love Kraven, I love the black costume, I love DeMatteis, I love dark psychological stories, I love the buried alive stuff.....yet it seems long-winded and low on actual plot to me. It could have been told it two issues.
