Hey when does the free roam start? I just got assigned my first case in homicide and the streets of la icon popped up but as of now im just being lead to a new case when does the free roam opportunity really start?
Just finished it. My,is it difficult to be a detective,Jesus
OK,heres what I think in points.
Good Points
Very challenging. Pushes you intellectually and mentally. Great interrogation parts. Trying to piece clues and theories on a suspect is excellent. Loved how it captured the look and feel of old detective movies. Great characters and storytelling.
Bad Points
The game wasn't as strong as GTA IV. I didn't feel like I was totally in control of the narrative. Controls for character and vehicle are a step down from GTA IV. It felt too linear. Too short. It was just A-B you can skip C and maybe skip D and just move onto E then F-G-H type gameplay, I thought things would lead to more open choices.
All in all, I give a 8/10.
Too short? It was a 20 hour game.
Yeah, this game made me want to replay RDR reeeally bad. I may actually get Undead Nightmare now as well.
Tedious filler? Really? I never felt like Red Dead Redemption, at least, dragged at all. The only parts that really bugged me about GTA 4 were the obnoxious phone calls from my needy 'friends' and the missions where some aspect of the controls were outright broken. Neither of those is a big issue in RDR or LA Noire.
