I remember playing the nintendo 64 version of Spider-man and came across a really cool transitional level in which you escape from the police after being framed for a robbery or something. We've seen him escape from the police plenty of times in the comics and the animated show, but the most we've had" anti-spidey" from the police force was in number 1 where he is "asked" to be taken into custody right before he jumps into the burning building. And this whole spidey day idea is really not concurrent with the character anyways, unless they really want to emphasize his downfall as a hero w/ the symbiote.

What i'm trying to get at is, that hopefully there is a chase scene in this movie. It would probably make the most logical sense, Spider-man gets out of line with the symbiote suit and there is a police chace w/ helicopters flying in between sky scrapers and all. Just something visually appealing of the sort. Maybe the last straw where he realizes he needs to take the suit off (before the tower scene). Kind of like when you see spidey chasing the helicopters in the last shot of one of the movies.

Realistically speaking, a black suit spidey should have no problem getting away, but a 30 sec. encounter would be a really cool thing to see.

Anyone else agree? I'm sure that everything is already known about the movie thanks to inside sources, but one can be hopeful I guess.

*misspelled chases in the title btw*

Why oh why do Noobs always want to incorporate ideas from video games into the films? Read the comics, people, read the comics.

that is so true. I remember seeing that banned teaser for SM1 where he was chasing bank robbers on a heli and Spidey spun a giant web between the Twin Towers and caught them like a fly. I wish that was still in the movie.

I agree, it is an excellent idea. I think I had that game you mentioned for the playstation and loved that part you have spoken of -- just the slight change in view and in gameplay made it really enjoyable and dodging the sniper scope was very tension building.

In the film it would just be nice to see Spidey's view of things -- rather than in the first film where he dissapears from the window and we see the police's view of not finding him. Maybe we could see him swing round a building and be behind the choppers, land on a gargoyle and watch as they search without any hope of finding him.

Actually this has just reminded me: I bought Superman Returns last night and watched it, and I noticed that a reporter mentioned that they had tried tracking him with satalites but with no luck -- I wonder if they should ever try and bring that kind of technological realism into the Spidey films?

Thanks for the feedback, I was just wondering if anyone else ever wished to see the same.

Only if they use real helicopters and not CGI choppers.

Hey, no probs -- i don't think the cops would have a chance of catching him or even being able to follow him for a short amount of time, but something like 30 secs like you mentioned would be enough to please this Spidey fan. Spidey's abilities would never allow for a tension building scene like we got with Batman in mask of the phantasm, his speed and agility would just make it redundant in that kinda way, but maybe if he got started on the wrong foot like after a fight or something would work.

Yeah, and the fact that he can stop on a dime, and swiftly turn in the opposite direction. It would be cool to see though.

I would love to see a helicopter confrontation with Spidey or at least some kind of attempt by the police to take him in for something. I loved the whole hero on the run aspect and it would be cool to see that idea take form in a spidey movie. It's possible that it could happen since black spidey most likely isn't going to be on the best terms with the law.

The noobs got a point. We havn't seen much in the way of police action against Spider-Man. JJJ has and will again turn the city against him. I bet we'll see something in the way of police chases in part 3.

Sounds cool! I would absolutely LOVE to see a scene with helicopters chasing black spidey! It could be so cool!

Meh. Would I like to see more police distrust of Spidey? Yes. Less Celebration Day ****? Yes.

Do we need a chopper chase? No. I mean in both one or two we've seen teh police run to queston Spidey and him to leave them in the dust, but I'd like to see them open fire on him fleeing a scene and trying to shoot him (albeit the studio in the current conservative American media push, may want to refrain from showing the police as inane and so misguided).

But another action scene? Sorry, this is too much like Batman and besides he could evade very easily. I'd like to see c ops be more aggressive in trying to arrest him, but he always escapes with ease. Besides after the Harry Osborn chase/fight on the glider, do we really need this then?

So the helicopters are the 4th villain.

No chase scenes please.

unfortunately with the large amount of villains needing fight scenes of their own, unless a helicopter is encoporated into the sandman chase in the armoured van, i doubt we will see anything like this in a spidey film

There were helicopters in the first one but the scenes were cuted

he means a proper chase scenes, not simply the involvement of helicopters

if that was the case, he wouldn't be moaning since we saw helicopters in teh second one.

Yes, helicopters would be a wonderful addition! possibly chasing him after he's done something bad whilst in the symbiote suit?

I don't like the way everyone likes spidey in the SM films, I think it should be harder for him, a little more hate and suchlike.....

As cool as it would be, I struggle to see how it would make any sense.

In this incarnation, Spidey has been around a while now. The police know what he can do, how he moves, how fast he is etc. What would possibly make them think that flying helicopters precariously low and close to buildings around new york would be a good way of catching him?
Also, whatever happens to provoke it, there'd have to be helicopters on hand. Which seems odd. By the time they'd called in choppers, Spidey would be long gone.

Well, first off, he was just using that as an example. Spidey has run from the cops via cars or helicopters a million times in the comics. And to beat up on him just because he used the example from a game (that's GASP! based off the comics) is insane. And the fact he's new has nothing to do with it. So grow up. It's people like you that chase away people who just wanna come and chat and have a good time, and talk about their favorite hero.

I think it's a great idea. I really think they'll do the "We love Spidey" thing at the start of the film and show him become Black Spidey later on. Cause them to turn on him. I'd love for a scene that just shows us how fast he can really move.

Amen to that.

But I think the scene I'd like to see the most that we still haven't seen is Spidey, coupled with his spider-sense, moving so fast he can dodge machine gun fire.

I would just like to add, maybe he the symbiote has him feelin very cocky so he just toys with the helicopters, then makes his escape after hes had his fun

My thoughts exactly. I think the chase between Peter and Harry will provide a solid and exciting web swinging between buildings and such. It won't be a police chase but it's the same idea. We already got a nice little hint of it in the venom trailer. The shot where Harry tosses a bunch of razorbats behind Peter while he's swinging looks pretty sweet.
