Lady in the Water: new poster and trailer

looks interesting. I wish it was a little more ambiguous like the trailers for the old m. night movies.

I'm going to watch the pool episodes of The Twilight Zone.:o

Visually very nice and quite an odd feel to it,interesting film IMO

Where the kids find the alternate world while swiming in their pool?

I'm not a big fan of M. Night's films, but it looks pretty good. I wonder if it will have the same old "super-shocker" ending he's addicted to having. :)

wow...quite surprising...the film looks even worse than the usual shyamalan film...and his other films were pretty bad, imo.

it looks alright, yeah weird too, but arn't all his films?

Wasn't this originally being marketed as a "bed time" story? Haha. Looks like they dropped that marketing plan, I suppose probably they were afraid of mismarketing issues like what happend with The Village.

Wait wait wait. If the lady is the bad guy, and she's in the water, how the hell is water going to be her weakenss like in every other M. Night movie?

when it was first advertised as a bedtime story and something he claimed hew as making for his kids, I envisioned a PG fantasy tale. Now it's PG-13 for frightening images and they got it cut like a horror movie.

Eh, the trailers a heck of alot better than the teaser was IMO. I am actually interested now more so than I was, add it to the summer "see list".

Yeah I'm a big TZ fan. Its The Bewitchin' Pool. M Night just rips off Hitch***** style (badly), mixes it with Serling's themes and then adds 2% of his own thinking. At least he steals from the greats I guess.

I believe he has said there is no twist ending. He wants to get away from the twist ending obligations especially since after Sixth Sense it was I wonder what the twist will be:). And now its I wonder what the twist is:(.

After The Village I'll wait for it on video...I still haven't gotten over that damn flick

Hmmm, well, could be good, but I wish Shyamalan would try different genres and styles. I was interested when I heard it was going to something for his kids, outside of his usual stuff... Now it feels kinda been there, done that.

Not sure about having these Dog creatures in it. I mean..they should be aquatic creatures eh?

1-This looks like "Rod Serling presents Splash!"

Which is pretty bad, considering that we already HAVE a "Splash" rip-off ("Aquamarine", ever heard of that?).

2-When I saw the teaser in theaters, it got advertised as a cuddly, warm, family friendly fairy tale, kinda like "Shrek2 on water.

But now Shymalan realized no one will ever watch any of his movies if he suddenly switched genres (look what happened with Wes Craven and "Music of the Heart"), so he added the evil water creatures and made it into a horror movie.

I would actually prefer if he stuck to one genre instead of having movie-genre-schizophrenia

3-Why do the water creatures look human?

That worked in the Aquaman comics, but it doesn't work here.

Wouldn't it make more sense if the water people looked completely different from us, and when they arise to the surface they have to hide them or people will panic, ala "E.T."?

4-I'm not the least bit suprised about this being a "Twilight Zone" episode.

Shyamalan is not a terribly original guy, and most of his movies tend to rip off the feeling and themesof "The Twilight Zone".
