Dog tastes the best

I rate them on taste...I would rather eat them than hug them...if they taste good. Never had a horse but those suckers are pure muscle. The weirdest thing I have eaten is alligator.

Or pigs, for that matter. Pigs are supposed to be just as intelligent, if not moreso, than dogs and cats.

As a matter of fact, the same goes for octopi as well, being the world's smartest invertibrates. There's an inherent hypocrisy to it all, I suppose. Still, I would have trouble eating cat meat or dog meat...call it a cultural bias.

When a horse gets to be a certain age and you HAVE to kill it, wouldn't it be better for the meat to be put to some sort of use than to have it just be buried?

You realize that much muscle is not a good thing as far as taste goes. People like their meat tender. Not tough. that's why farmers now days go through so much trouble to keep the lives of the cows stress free, and limit their excercise.

Hell in china they take cows the day they are born, break their legs, and stick them in a dark room their whole life. The meat goes for 300 U.S. dollars a pound, or something like that.

that practice is illegal in the U.S. and it damn well should be.
