Yeah, technically this is a no no... but this thread is solely to point people to another thread. If a mod would rather close this thread, that's completely understandable. I just thought I'd try to help encourage some cross-thread posting and help build some conversation.

We've tried to start a Bought/Thought in the DC forums before and it's never taken off. Since then, the Bought/Thought in the Marvel forums have covered all comics, including DC. A conversation came up recently about why they do that, and that got me thinking. It's been a while, so I thought I'd remind the DC posters (who don't go to the Marvel forums often) that if you'd like to discuss the new weekly comics in one spot (Marvel/DC/Indie), you can head over there.

The Ongoing BOUGHT/THOUGHT!

Again, I completely understand if a mod wants to shut this thread down. I just thought people would appreciate a heads up.

But how does that help the DC section? why should I as someone not really interested in the majority of today's Marvel Comics have to troop over there to discuss the DC books I buy every month? if anything people who post about DC over there should be courteous enough to post about those books over here. Otherwise what's the point of having all these different subforums representing the different publishers? might as well have a General Comic Book forum where EVERYTHING is discussed instead then.

Then don't. I'm not trying to pull anyone away from the DC boards. There just seems to be very little discussion about many DC books here. I thought if everyone knew about one spot where they're currently being discussed, it'd increase the amount of people. The Ongoing Bought/Thought isn't going as strongly as it once was. Just trying to get some interest from all sides of the industry again.

Though it's not like it's hard to truck over there. Click the link, subscribe to the thread, and that's the last time you'll have to go over there. The more people talk DC over there, the more interest there might be in bringing people over here to discuss the comics in greater detail.

One person bragging about a great title like Aquaman (for example) goes on deaf ears, but two or three and someone might be willing to give it a shot.

Good idea Jewi, except you might attract Shazam and that would be just plain awful.
