The Dark Knight L'Ecran Fantastique - Interviews with Christian Bale, Lindy Hemming and Chris Churchy

Thanks a lot for that! I haven't read it yet, but good job at translating and writing it down for us!

Lol@ the costume designers thinking the suit wouldn't create any controversy! Also, I'm waiting for complaints about Batman appearing in bright scenes, including daylight ones.

Thanks for the translation, it was an interesting read.

i think she means the interrogation scene. Cause batman drives the Lamborghini during the day. Its much more subtle! :cwink:

Yes, like the parade SM3. Next thing we know Bats will be given the keys to Gotham, with a marching band, and kids dressed up as Batman. I hope the Joker isn't selling the fairy floss, he'll make a killing. :lmao:

"I think one of Batman's lines mentions that he wants to be able to look behind him when he parks the Batmobile."

Love it.

GC - Oh I don't think this suit will create any controversy. On the contrary, so far, the reactions are positive.

O rly? :o

Int - Did the kevlar used to make the Batsuit actually made it bulletproof?

GC - Hmm... no.

LH - But it could protect you from a bad fall while riding a motorbike.

Int - Well is it knife proof?

LH - I suppose so, why?

Int - You'll need it to stop the critics from stabbing you for what you did to the Batsuit.

Thanks for typing and translating this article.

Very insightful. I still wonder about what exactly happens to the old suit in the movie....it'll be very interesting to find out.

It got a makeover, Batman has had more makeovers than Elizabeth Taylor. Superman's gear is always the same, so is SM's but no Bats has got to have sorts of different bat symbols and suits.

Well, Batman isn't a superhero in the sense that he has no powers that prevent him from coming to harm as does Superman. His suit needs to evolve to his needs more. Just my 2 pennies.

Isn't it possible his old suit is effed up pretty bad, and he needs a new one. I don't think it's like the old movies, were there is no reason or explanation as to why he's changing suits.

It was only two pennies, but they were a good two pennies.

I'm glad the old suit will be in the movie but I still haven't warmed up to the new one (just looks too busy).

I really dont like the part where they explain we will be seeing batman in alot of light, damnnit hes supposed to stay in the shadows!! That really does make me have small concerns for the film atleast in that end!

like i said above, they didnt say anything about daylight, just light.
So i guess they are referring to the party where Batman says "you re gonna love me" and the interrogation scene. That has to be all.

I hope thats all of course think of it this way, Batman will be suiting up in the light because of where his suit is and it is very light there. We have the scene shown in the Al Roker Good Morning America footage with him talking to Fox in the light, and then the Wayne penthouse scene in the light also. So overall we probably will be seeing bats alot in the light in this film, which definitly dissapoints me.

Nice interview, some good technical stuff rather than the usual blather

I like hearing everything about how they made the suit and all the technical aspects of it, but from what theyre saying is making me think they moved away from the whole "creature of the night" aspect in this film unlike in BB, which will definitly dissapoint me greatly.

Here you go, that's all. As mentioned before I took the liberty to leave out parts of the interviews that offered absolutely nothing new.
Nice read. Thanks for the transcript.

Please lets not bring the Capes & Cowls discussion in this thread PLEASE NO! lol

No, no, I said what I said and that's the end of it.

If anyone wants to get into it, it'll have nothing to do with me.
