Legends of Tomorrow Legends of Tomorrow renewed for season 2

I'm guessing s2 will get some major refocusing, so as to bring the budget under control. Unless most of the budget overruns were on fixed costs like sets, I suppose.

It more surprises me that they renewed all their lower ratings stuff. I wonder why?

That stuff about the Legends budget was an unsubstantiated rumor. It's very doubtful the budget is much higher than Arrow's or Supernatural's, and Greg Berlanti has major pull at CW (Flash, Arrow, Legends, Vixen, and the upcoming Riverdale).

As for CW renewing everything:
-Flash, Arrow, Supernatural, Legends, and iZombie's ratings more than justify renewal
-The 100's ratings are fine and it's getting close to syndication numbers
-The Originals is one season from syndication numbers
-Reign is a season from syndication numbers and it's an international co-production, meaning it costs very little to produce
-Jane the Virgin and Crazy ex-Girlfriend scored the first two Golden Globe wins in CW history. They're important for CW continuing to shed its former image ias a network with cheesy tween dramas.
-Vampire Diaries has been a strong performer for years. When it does end, they'll announce it as a final season and send it off in a big way

Plus any show debuting before this season (iZombie, Flash, Jane and all older shows) fall under the terms of CW's Netflix deal which pays them a significant sum of money for every additional episode. Netflix wants high episode counts and shows with definitive endings to encourage binge watching and therefore long term subscribers. Legends and Crazy ex don't fall under the old deal but the new one is being negotiated now.

That's surprising given all that has been said about the series' budgeting issues.

Glad it's getting a second season, the show keeps getting better in my opinion and I hope they can keep the momentum going!

Again nice to see all the cw shows got renewed that i like to watch. Cant wait to see what legends does for season 2. Yea where is all this budget issues coming from now. I did not hear anything of any budget issues while the show was filming.

I wasn't aware it had been renewed or if I had been I'd forgotten. I wonder if they'll make some changes to the line-up.

as for the cast we will probably have to wait and see.

Have this show on DVR and have maybe only liked 3 episodes. Don't understand the love it gets. Find myself fast forwarding it the the end of each episode to just understand the bigger picture. How do you guys all rate this show out of 10? As a reference, resting the current seasons, I give arrow 7/10, flash 6.5/10 and this show 4/10

Good news. This show isn't exactly edgy, hard-hitting drama, but I like it for what it is. It really reminds me of Star Trek: TNG for some reason.

Wow. I guess we don't have similar tastes. I'd give these shows this season:

Arrow: 3/10 Flash: 9.5/10 Legends: 7/10 And I'll throw in Supergirl: 5/10

Arrow (before I quit) 3/10, Flash 8.5-9/10, Legends 7/10. Don't watch Supergirl, but if the first season makes it on Netflix I'll give it a shot. I thought the Flash crossover was fun.

Good thing they changed their minds about it being a mini series. Want to see more of this show, it's too good.

I'd get rid of Kendra since she seems to still be the weakest link of the group. Plus, her forced romance and drama with Ray does bring things down a notch. I'd bring in Vixen and trade Kendra for her.

I actually like Ray when he's not given some of the most cheesiest lines in the world to utter on screen.

If there needs to be romance on this show, I'd actually focus on a slow buildup for Cold and Canary to happen. There are actually more realistic and well done seeds planted for that happen naturally as opposed to ray's relationship with Kendra.

SPOILERS FOR THOSE WHO HAVEN'T FINISHED SEASON ONE

I really hope that they find a way to bring Snart back, but i highly doubt it because Mick just left him in 2016, and he didn't join the team before they were stopped by Hourman.
I'm super-psyched for the flashpoint paradox on The Flash, and I hope they bring Wentworth Miller back for that.
