The Amazing Spider-Man Let's Be Realistic. Catman Wants Shia LaBeouf.

He's 23, the IT boy in Hollywood, has a proven track record, is kinda nerdy-looking, has done action & comedy, was a former Disney star (Disney owns Marvel now) and has blockbuster experience.

Let's face it. This is Sony's #1 choice for Spider-Man. I wouldn't be surprised if the studio was on the phone with his agent right now.

You are aware that they are NOT gonna cast an actual high school student? Whoever is cast as Peter Parker/Spider-Man is gonna be in their early `20s. Shia is 23. He fits the bill.

I'm with ya. Look at all the action stars of the 80's: Schwarzenegger, Stallone, Van-Damme, Lundgren, all tough guys with tough sounding names. Now who's Hollywood's top action star? Some twerp named Shia LeBeouf. His name doesn't even sound tough. It's bad enough he's Indiana Jones' son, please don't make him Spider-Man.

24 was the same age Christopher Reeve and Brandon Routh were cast to play Superman...

Not to mention, TRANSFORMERS III is slated for summer 2012. Michael Bay and Paramount confirmed theyre aiming for that year.

It's unrealistic for him to be the lead in two 200 mil summer blockbusters so close together.

In-between both Transformers movies he shot the fourth Indiana Jones and Eagle Eye. In other words, he shot 4 action movies in a row.
