...are essentially the same candidate. Their differences are marginal. Looking at their foreign policies, (beyond just Iraq) basically the same. Social issues? Same. Environmental issues? Same. You can keep going.

And on our current and future economic crisis... what is the difference between their opinions?

The point is: We are all arguing and fighting about trivial differences between two presidential candidates who essentially are promising the same administration.

No thanks.

I don't know which country you've been living in these past six months, but there are noticeable, extreme differences between both presidential candidates in the United States.

Are you serious?

Nah. I think I might vote for myself.

Young black guy vs. old white guy
Top of Class from Harvard and Columbia vs. 884 out 895 from Navy school
Married once, 2 children vs. married several times with many children
Raised by single mother vs. raised in powerful wealthy family
Educator vs. soldier
A ford Escape and 1 house vs. millions in cars and 7 houses

And thats just the surface.

I would encourage you to ACTUALLY LOOK AT THE RECORD OF THESE CANDIDATES. Once you've done that, then we can talk. They're exactly the same? You clearly aren't paying attention.

Out of curiosity... how are McCain and Obama similar on social issues? Please... enlighten me.

Lets be honest who cares about social issues? It won't be a luxury in a year from now when everyone's standard of living takes a nose dive. McCain barely understands economics and Obama has the entire frame of the problem utterly wrong; and the people he is surrounding himself with (economics wise) are only ones he can hear the things he wants to hear. Neither candidates are going to solve this problem. Ultimately everything is a luxury after this. This includes even Iraq, Afghanistan and Al Qaeda.

No money = big problem.

You managed to exclusively list items that are absolutely irrelevant.

There are a great deal of us that care about social issues.

This is what I am talking about. Doesn't matter who ends up in the White House, the end result will be the same.

Man, what're you smokin'? The fact that Obama was raised by a single mother proves that he's tough. He comes from a tough background, and he can totally appreciate fairness, now, since life has been so unfair to him and his mother, who was single when she raised him, making him tough.

He's a black man who's struggled with tough adversity his whole life, and he's busy; busy doing what every man who's had a tough life does: Running for the office of President.

Once the economy crashes, you are going to have a whole bunch more social issues like: looting, rioting, martial law, war, etc.

Gay marriage will be an after thought.

So your attitude is "we are ****ed no matter what, might as well not bother voting". Gotcha.

Unemployment.

That's the issue we'll be dealing with the most.

Looting, rioting, martial law, war? What are you talking about, legitimately? In 1928, the worst thing facing the country was rampant unemployment. We have yet to encounter such dire straits.

Apathy about politics is always such a wonderful thing.

Apathy? I'm not apathetic at all. I am really just sad that there is not a whole lot we can do about it considering what the system has turned into. Why weren't their any independent candidates on the debate panels? I thought this was supposed to be government for the people, by the people? But, what we have is government by the government for the government.

It is a different world my friend. People aren't as civilized these days. You take away the internet and people are going to go crazy!

I thought it was obvious but I guess my sarcasm wasnt too good; thats what I get for getting no sleep all week :csad:

Excel, research J.C. Watts.

What would YOUR thoughts be on him as a 2012 Republican Candidate?
