Well tonight i went to see The Omen with my friend Jarod and i was really excited. Let me just say off topic (the movie was fantatic). Anyway, i know that Liev Schreiber is a running canidate has Harvey Dent and tonight i was a true believer that he would make the perfect Harvey. There were many scenes in the movie were he was sporting the nice tuxedo's and there were focuses on his face and upper body and all i can think about was the burn acid scars. I was looking at his face and just picturing him with the scars and before i knew it i imagined i was watching Batman 2 or something. Anyway, has anyone seen The Omen on here and had a similar expiriance?

I was watching The Omen yesterday but, you know, the movie sucks and Liev wasn´t really good in it.
Mia Farrow and David Thewlis were great, but Liev... very bad performance

Thats because he is a B grade actor, if not lower. If he didn't look like Dent out of The Long Halloween he would not even be considered.

this is true. what has he done to be considered for Dent? He's bad bad bad!

Schreiber delivered a very good performance in The Manchurian Candidate a few years ago. That, and his role in The Sum of All Fears (in which he was also good) are what make me (and most people) believe he would be an ideal choice.

well, I´ve never considered him to be anything else.

I liked his acting, it wasn't very good, but I'd say, mot bad.

b grade actor....does that mean he's pretty good but not GREAT? cuz if that's what ya'll mean i'll agree. he hasn't dished out a spectacular performance, though he was GREAT in Manchurian Candidate.

never-the-less, if he ends up as Dent i'll be more than happy because his appearance, voice, and personality fits perfectly with Dent/Two-Face.

whatever. Schreiber has got to be an a superhero movie. great actors like him should be immortalized in pop-culture history.

Spacey got his turn (Luthor), lets give Schreiber his

I saw the omen with bb2 in mind. Judging by his performance in this movie, there are better actors for the role of dent.

Just because he wasn't good in The Omen remake doesn't mean he would be bad for Dent. Every great actors will play few roles that isn't right for them, therefore making them not look like good actors. Even many Oscars type have done bad parts. It's common among Hollywood anyway. But I sure hope Liev audit for Dent before he signed up. :)

I'd say that Spacey and Bal are great in every role.

Schreiber has an unimpressive career and his latest performance is deemed mediocre. I don't think he has what it takes to be Dent. If he didn't look like Sale's rendition of the character, he would not even be considered. There are so many better choices for the role.

Just when I get on the damn Schreiber bandwagon, everybody wants off

I'm still Phoenix is my #1

Whoa! What’s all this bad-mouthing Schreiber? If you can act better then go get an acting job instead of posting on message board.

Oh yes they just newbies right?

It's not like anyone is saying they should play Dent. They're just pointing out Schreiber shouldn't. I've held that belief for a while..

Wow what a horribly ******ed sentence Two Face has just come out with.

Let me wade through this stupidity; We, as an audience, reserve the right to have an opinion on an actor, good or bad.

But yes you're right-we all think Shrieber's acting talent is inferior to ours. We should all play the part of Harvey Dent together. Dibs on the acid scene.

I like this thinking. After seeing Phoenix do an extrordinary job in Walk the Line last night, i will say that he is 2000000X more suited to the job than Shrieb could ever be.

He's handsome like Dent should be, he's the right age(about the same as Bale), and obviously can really go to the places he would be required to go playing Dent. Imagine him opposite Bale? Two of the best actors in America and Europe right now facing off. He would be far more interesting than Shrieb, for my money anway.

The best choice by far i think. Would he do it?

I think he'd do it. The foul taste of "comic book film" is kinda washed away by the talented Chris Nolan and the amazing work he's done. Actors are jumping to work on his Batman.

Plus, Joaquin isn't all about the art house. He's worked on a few commercial films as well. Signs, Brother Bear, Ladder 49, and he's in talks to do a Tom Clancy movie. Plus, I mean, his role Walk the Line may have been Oscar-nominated, but it wasn't exactly a small-time movie. It had commercial hit written all over it.

I think Phoenix does projects and roles he finds interesting. Nolan's Batman would be one of them.

Yeah, what’s with all the Schreiber bashing?

Apparently, he wasn't good. And, honestly, I'm happy to hear that because I don't think I've ever been big on the idea of him getting the role.

Plus, I think all the Schreiber love was coming from people judging by his appearance alone. Must hadn't seen him act. Now that they have, they're disappointed.

Makes sense to me.

haven't seen it yet

is he good in it? i know he looks like Dent, but one of my best friends is the splitting image of Gambit from xmen and i would say **** you to fox if they casted him purely on looks, as i would say to warner brothers if they cast purely on looks

insaying that i have herd good things about the omen and schrieber in the omen, and that would be a relief because to date his most note worthy movie in scream 2, because i am against casting purely on resemblence to the character, and for casting based on talents, which is why i like the spiderman villan casting of Church and Grace, they said **** you people who look like the characters we want the actors to support the role, and they used a technique called make up to change how they look to more closely resemble the role

so until i see schreiber as two face and do good, i am against his casting because the desicion would be made of fan reaction to how close he looks to the comics

your comparing Liev Schreiber to Kevin Spacey?????????????????

what the hell, do you have any common sense, let me go down the check list for a second and see if any of Schreibers roles even come close to comparing with Spaceys

Seven vs Manchurian
American Beatuy vs. the Hurricane
L.A. Confidential vs Scream 2
Beyond the Sea vs. The Omen
The Usual Suspects vs. Phantoms
the life of david gale vs. oh wait schreiber has only been in like 6 crappy movies

apparently casting directors and filmmakers don't agree with you

and neither do people who make desicions as to who wins best actor, because Spacey has two, and Schreiber has 0

Schreiber may be an alright two face, i am against the casting desicion(see my last post) but he could end up being alright, i can handle that

what i cannot handle is people who do not know the difference between movies like American Beatuy and The Manchuriane Candidate, and the respective roles the actors play, and how well they play them, Lestur Burhman is one of the greatest characters in film history, and who ever the guy schriber plays on Manch, is ok, and that is widely considered his best role

he could be okay as two-face, but to compare him on any leval with one of the top 3 actors out there (alongside, Depp, and Morgan Freemen) is a completley obsered statement

I never saw a Kevin Spacey movie I liked until I saw Glengarry Glenn Ross
