And Beauty & the Freaky CGI Thing is copying every other love story of "it's what on the inside that matters" cliché & ripping off it's own source material by being the same exact thing.

Not to be condescending but how does a movie rip off its own source material when it is the same exact thing?

What I mean is, there's no originality. I just hope the reviews for Power Rangers are on the positive side & convince ppl to go out and see it. I really want this to become a franchise

I laughed as well. :funny: PR rangers will probably suffer the same fate as X-Men: Apocalypse. A movie that comes out 5-10 years too late.

At this point, Lionsgate will take anything close to Xmen Apocalypes Box office numbers in a heartbeat.

How is PR orignal.

The whole "originality argument is the most annoying misguided thing in fanboyism

I'm trying to figure out something here are some of you being condescending or just plain negative?

If you don't want to hear negative opinions about things, ask a mod to make a positivity thread

Ah I see, "Stay close to the source material but do things to make it different and innovative".

I get that.

Certain adaptations or films, I would like to see like 100% relation to the source material.
(Days of Future Past comes to mind, but I won't get into that here)

I haven't seen the film yet so I won't defend it. All I will say is that like it or not a film doesn't open with over 150mil without looking appealing to an awful lot of people. Your jealousy over it's success matters not.

Don't make that excuse you guys make it a daily routine to say the same usual thing (whether it be negative or let's see negative) Criticism is one thing but what i'm seeing is past criticism.

The whole purpose of a forum is for US TO CRITICIZE, whether positive or negative. We don't have to all jump up and down in excitement over what we are seeing is produced. We have that opinion and platform to say, "This looks like ****"

Could you not say the same about the positive comments too?

I could say the same about any of this. Its like some of you want this movie to fail. Who said anything about this being all about excitement i'm just addressing that I see more negative than positive and if you don't like this movie then why talk about it why waste your time? You would better off not seeing it.

Maybe you haven't read the previous continuation threads, but there are plenty of people who want the movie to succeed.

I am not one of them, but it's not necessarily a want, it's more like expectation.

No I don't want it to fail. I want it to be good. The poor trailers and television spots don't give me much hope. Hopefully the reviews are decent, because decent reviews are the only thing that will get me into the theater to see it.

I have said countless times I'm hoping deep down its good. However like ISS said, everything I've seen thus far is a turn off.

sooo much salt I feel my blood pressure rising
