This is a continuation thread, the old thread is [split]505083[/split]
IGN: They are making this new Power Rangers movie, which is getting a lot of attention. Do you have any advice to these new Power Rangers, having been a Ranger yourself?
McIver: Oh my goodness, that was probably one of the funnest eight months stints of my life. We just laughed our heads off; we had so much fun. I think, make sure you enjoy it. Dont take yourselves too seriously. Youre fighting monsters in rubber suits. But its a blast! Its so cool and it's so cool to be a part of something that as a child my peers watched and I look now and there are children watching it still. It sort of transcends one particular generation and thats so fun to be part of, so enjoy every minute.
Rose McIver from iZombie gives advice to the movie cast
Well I don't really see the rubber suit monster thing happening but the other advice is sound.
I would love to see what a high budget practical city set with people dressed as giant robots and monsters could look like.
Watch any Godzilla film done from the 90's onward. That's about as good as that is gonna get and... It still looks very much on the cheesy side.
Suitmation doesn't tend to be real time, though. What is on screen is slowed down from what they filmed.
You may want to wait to see how the new Godzilla film does. It is supposed to be using some of the same technology as the Attack on Titan films.
Oh yeh? Ill check it out. Any recommendations? Anything can be improved upon![]()
I own all the Godzilla films. If you're looking for the best looking ones, my picks are "Godzilla: Tokyo SOS" (2003) and "Godzilla, Mothra, King Ghidorah: Giant Monsters All Out Attack" (2001) as being the best, special FX-wise.
Cool thanks! I will check them out. I guess what I am looking for is the best Suitmation work.
She stars in iZombie. She was one of the Power Rangers on RPM, which was the last Disney season and the last season before Saban re-acquired the property and relaunched it with Samurai.Who's Rose McIver?
I really don't see Lionsgate using suitmation for this film. And how's that manip coming along, Alien? I'm curious.
And they may well have a new franchise on their hands with Power Rangers, especially as they are giving the X-Men like film an X-Men-like $75m budget.
