1. Superman traveling through time to save Lois Lane
2. Captain America beating up an elevator full of people.
3. Superman lifting a continent sized island laced with kryptonite
4. Spider-Man stopping an out of control train with webbing
5. Batman taking out a SWAT team while trying to save Hostages at the same time

Jean Grey holding back rushing lake water from a broken dam while stopping a mutant from using their powers to save her, lifting the X-Jet, and occupying the mind of Xavier to say goodbye to her fiancé and friends.

Nightcrawler/Azazel taking out a bunch of Government Agents solo.
Magneto lifting the stadium

Iron Man taking out a whole village full of terrorists spread among civilians in about a minute with no civilian casualties.

Superman saving the Airliner.
Spider-Man holding the huge metal wall from crushing MJ

The list is long !

While I wasn't a huge fan of Avengers, you have to admit that
the Hulk stopping the huge flying mecha-eel with a single blow
was pretty impressive (and well shot).

Batman flipping the Joker's truck (Dark Knight)

Superman destroying the World Engine (Man of Steel)

Superman lifting up the East Coast of the USA ( Superman the Movie)

Spider-Man stopping the train, while fighting Doc Ock (Spider-Man 2)

Magneto moves the Golden Gate bridge (but Magneto usually has one mega-stunt every film, you could do a whole Magneto thread on this, e.g. lifting the submarine, stopping the missiles, disarming and holding 50 cops at gunpoint ).

Nightcrawler's attempted assassination of the president (X2)

Quicksilver's super-speed jailbreak ( DOFP)

I'm not a fan of Captain America, but have to admit that the elevator fight in WS was extremely badass !

Batman's aerial assault on Lau's Hong Kong hideout (Dark Knight)

The feats in Green Lantern would have been awesome, if the movie hadn't been so crap !

But the list goes on..... will add more later

Magneto (and Azazel, for that matter) is not a superhero, but its Ok...

Dude that's splitting hairs, Magneto has been a member, even leader of the X-men - it all depends on the story arc. But, I suppose technically
he would be a supervillain, or at least super anti-hero ?

Still he certainly pulls off some pretty impressive feats.

How specific is this thread, because the Crow has some impressive
feats in it - but isn't really a superhero movie (still a cbm though)

What about Dr. Manhattan reassembling his body after total disintigration
or single-handedly winning the Vietnam war.

cheers.

Magneto was never a member or leader of the X-Men team in the movies. This thread is about the movies.

Niteowl's little man finally persuaded by Silk Specter to stand upright after sitting on the couch for decades.

1. Zorro kicking everyone's ass in Montero's mansion.

2. Hulk killing the Leviathan with one punch (he did get some help from Iron Man though...he poked it with a stick)

3. The bridge and plane scene from The Phantom.

4. Iron Man saving the falling passengers with RC Iron Man suit.

And probably the most heroic moment in a superhero movie:

5. Peter Parker saving a little girl from the burning building, without powers.

Superman taking out the world engine.

Spider-Man stopping a train.

Hulk punching down a leviathan.

Nightcrawler's attack. Quicksilver's attack.

Captain America's elevator takedown.

Thor obliterating two leviathans with a lightning strike.

Wolverine vs the Phoenix to the bitter death.

Since you too seem keen to split hairs, Magneto and the Xmen teamed up in X2 and in DOFP, and technically he was an X-man in First class, albeit briefly. Really, does this matter ? My point is that Magneto (as others have pointed out) generally pulls some pretty amazing power stunts in his film appearances.
( I haven't even mentioned his escape from the plastic prison).

But I think this....

Peter Parker saving a little girl from the burning building, without powers.

.... was a great comment, and if even we're going to be picky about
super-heroes is still pretty impressive (because it wasn't "super" as in relying on superhuman but it did rely on super-human bravery !).

And this is just hillarious, kind of sad but true, and a triumph for
slightly out of shape middle aged men everywhere !

Time Square sequence in Amazing Spider-Man 2
Iron Man taking out a whole village full of terrorists spread among civilians in about a minute with no civilian casualties.

A most impressive feat.

Teaming up with someone's team doesn't make you a team member. Do you really think the X-Men or Magneto himself considered himself an X-Men member when they were working together in X-2 lol? Spider-Man has teamed with the X-Men before but that didn't make him one of them.

As for First Class, they were not the X-Men yet.

Captain America laying siege to the Lemurian Star/ taking down the quintet.
Spider-Man stopping the Train.
Iron Man saving Gulmira.
Spider-Man saving the boy in the burning van on the bridge.
Thor destroying the bifrost.
Hulk destroying the first leviathan.
Wolverine taking out Shingen by way of hara kiri.

Spiderman saving the rail car full of kids and MJ from the Goblin was pretty impressive.

Not letting that one go huh ? Wasn't it you who initially said that this is about the movies (in response to my comic book examples) ? So when did Spidey team up with the X Men hmmmm.....

So if they weren't the Xmen in a film called "Xmen first class" who were they ? It wasn't called "The mutants who would later become the Xmen, but aren't the X Men yet, guest starring the guy who will later become Magneto"
He even wears an X-uniform for a while.

What about DOFP ? Future Magneto works alongside the Xmen pretty solidly (even when past Magneto was treacherous).

Really though does this matter ? If it makes you feel better I'm happy to agree that Magneto is not a superhero - and given how Magneto sees the world, from his perspective its not like he's working with the Xmen, it's more like they were working with him.

Now back to what this thread is really about, what about ........

the Guardians of the Galaxy working together to control the infinity stone
and disintigrate Ronan

Johnny Storm combining all the powers of the Fantastic four to take out Dr. Doom.

and this....

Spiderman saving the rail car full of kids and MJ from the Goblin was pretty impressive.

Pretty impressive, a double save, both the kids and MJ all at once - although you have to give the assist to the great people of NYC.

Hulk having trouble pushing against the car crushing machine in an episode of The Incredible Hulk. :woot:

Or needing both hands to push his car over the cliff in the pilot. :p

  • Quicksilver scene in the Pentagon in Days of Future Past.
  • Magneto lifting the stadium in the same movie.
  • Magneto lifting the whole bridge all the way to prison.
  • Wolverine stabbing Dark Phoenix.
  • Wolverine holding back after finally getting some attention from Jean, and asking her about Cyclops in X-Men 3.
  • The opening scene in X-Men 2.
  • Iron Man grabbing the car tossed at him by Iron Monger and not damaging it.
  • Hulk grabbing a missile launched at him, biting the top off, and spitting it back at the chopper in Ang's film.
  • Hulk saving the jet from falling into the water (same film).
  • Hulk in Banner form surviving a nuke (same film).
  • Batman taking the nuke out of Gotham and flying it a distance (The Dark Knight Rises).
  • Johnny Storm going super nova on Doctor Doom without killing him, or slightly burning any of the people around him, and cooling the armor down with water from a fire hydrant (first :ff: movie).

Hulk falling from a plane and dying in "Death of the Incredible Hulk." :o

It was impressive that the fall killed him. :o

Pretty much all moves done by Robin/Red hood in Batman Under the Red Hood
