She and Emilia Clarke guarantee mediocrity.Geez. What did Sophie Turner do to you guys?
Potentially going to Sophie Turner after Alicia Vikander is a humongous step down for the character.
She's mid to bad in everything I've seen her in and a terrible miscast for Lara Croft. Nothing much apart from that.
Eh I disagree. I thought her movie was quite decent actually, but more importantly that she was near perfect fit for the role.So was Vikander for that matter.

I know, but I'm bumped because a sequel was officially greenlit and didn't happen because of covid, then they changed the director and was completely cancelled because Amazon bought MGM and wanted to have this instead.Fair enough but the movie wasn't a huge hit and all that well received either.
I'd definitely be down for that. I love Daisy!
I know the movie was meh and they went with the other Star Wars leading lady, but what could have been.

It was never officially green lit.
It was. It had a script, a director, a release date and it was ready to shoot just around the time covid hit. Then they changed the director and writer and started to reshape it. Vikander said that version wasn't greenlit because it was around the time MGM was sold to Amazon and it stopped being a sure thing after they didn't follow through the first version.

Lol had what wrong? The shooting date? Maybe, maybe not, whatever. The movie had a date set from the studio and the director and writer news was reported by numerous other sites as well. I don't know what we're debating here. It was in the stage of pre-production, I read various reports indicating that back then. They really did plan to make another despite the lackluster North America gross, because they saw promise in the international numbers that were pretty good.Deadline got it wrong. They have before:
Deadline Now: Chris Evans, Captain America And The Road Back To The MCU
As the pandemic wore on ideas were floated, Evans warmed to the concept and the actor and Marvel made an agreement.deadline.com

Waller Bridge being involved is the only thing that may make me end up watching this. Depends on whether she's writing this or just exec producing it.
