I doubt the film will be black and white, but I could imagine them making a B&W version as an extra feature on a DVD release.

Yeah I can see that happening kind of like mad max which looked really cool in black and white

I HOPE the actual movie contains that hard boiled noir narration.I would love that.

turn down the saturation on your TV if you really want that. I hope this thing is in color

Just saw the trailer, Johnny Cash's "Hurt" plays with it

Not a lot of Wolvie moments until the end but they're very brief, didn't look like an X-Men/Wolverine film at first

Nice trailer. Looking forward to watching it again in full HD tomorrow. :yay:

Saw the leaked trailer. I really am digging the tone and vibe this film is giving off. Can't wait to see it in HD tomorrow.

I actually liked that it didn't really have the look or feel of an X-men film. Hard to explain but I like what this trailer is showing and the vibe it's going for.

Also, the trailer confirms two things: the film is in color and mutants are seemingly gone now.

Fitting that Mangold uses a Johnny Cash song with it. Love the feel of the trailer. It's most definitely like taking inspiration from many of the sources we assumed it would as well and shows Dafne Keen as Laura instead of Sienna. Really feels like Mangold got to make something in his wheelhouse.

it's good

BUT why kill mutants all over again right after you brought them all back? cheap but whatevs

Haven't seem the trailer yet but the Jackman’s “Nature made me a freak, man made me a weapon, and God made it last too long.” teaser gave me really strong chills.

I LOVE the trailer. The Wolverine should've been purely about Logan in Japan (like Darren Aronofsky had initially planned), instead of throwing in mutants and X-Men nods to pander to the audience. And with this, it seems like they've learned from their past mistakes. This really has a unique feel, and seems like it will focus on what matters most in the storyline.
Between Deadpool and this one, 20th Century Fox may already be my favorite studio adapting comic books today.
They've really got some huge balls in trying to push the 'genre' and do something fresh with these movies.
Now it's all up to James Mangold and the script to craft a great movie from what is a great (and seemingly uncompromised) premise for Hugh Jackman's final Wolverine movie.

I think Jim in retrospect was severely restricted by The Wolverine's rating as well as the general state of the X-Men franchise at the time. But with DOFP bringing the X-Men completely into the modern age of comic book films and Deadpool/Apocalypse taking advantage of that by going full blown comic book (though the results varied), I think Jim can finally let loose and dig deep into what he does best as a director and craft these really humane dramas.

Obviously it'll come down to how good his script was, and the results have yet to be seen, but I feel like he and Hugh created something special.
