Imagine if she were the Loki variant instead of Sylvie. Loki would've probably killed her off in the second episode instead of trying to hook up with her.

I only just got around to watching episodes 5 and 6 this morning (I mean, what else is there to do when you're stuck in isolation??) and WOW... I mean, there is so much to unpack.

Honestly, as much as I loved WandaVision (and I freakin' LOVED it) this was just at a different level to any other Marvel show (for me anyway)

I watched Black Widow at the cinema the other day (isolation is my punishment for that) and although I enjoyed it for what it was, watching the final two episodes of Loki afterwards was such a juxtaposition in terms of quality and style. It really is a cut above the rest.

Okay, enough frothing at the mouth from me. Roll on Season 2.

I wish Marvel Studios would release the deleted scenes. We really need to see King Loki fighting Throg, along with whatever other goodies they have in the vault. We've been good fans and we deserve a treat. :D:

That image was concept art, more or less. The series probably hadn't been written at that point (July 2019). What we got was far preferable to watching Loki skulk through a '70s urban hellscape, anyway. Though his turn as DB Cooper was a fun little aside.

Learning to love yourself is the Greatest Love of Allllllll

Or so Whitney Houston told us.

Seriously, tho, the Loki-on-Loki action squicked me out for a minute. I managed to wrap my head around it by reflecting that mythological Loki got busy with a stallion and gave birth to an eight-legged foal. Falling for themselves is a mere nothing compared to that.

We are in for a treat. Kang and Doom can be great mega-villain follow ups to Thanos for the MCU.

what makes kang and doom great is that they are both humans.

I have to assume that Kang will be sticking around the MCU for a much longer span of time than Thanos did because there isn't a long list of big bads that pose a Thanos-level threat left for them to choose from besides Galactus, Doom, maybe Annihilus and Magneto, Apocalypse, and hopefully someday, Mephisto. I suppose they can always bring Dormammu back into the fold since he's still out there.

Yeah I can see both Kang and Doom being more persistent mega-villains.

I think this episode of Marvel Studios Assembled is my favorite yet, like others have said in some other threads, all the little nuggets of information. When they were talking a little about Sylvie's costuming Sophia made the comment about it being believable for a character whose always fighting and always on the run instead of in heels and a leotard and it made me realize, they didn't put her in those stupid wedge shoes that they seem to put practically ever female superhero in (that always make me fear for someone twisting an ankle (or worse) with all the action shots and running/fighting) - instead she was in flat shoes. I believe the Black Widow movie also did the same, so hopefully we're at a turning point on that and we'll see less of the dumb wedge heels on female superheroes.

Anywho, the only other comment I have about that Assembled episode is, well, can we just, like, have Tom Hiddleston narrate all the Marvel behind the scenes stuff from now on? *lol* Gosh he could read the phone book and I'd be happy.

This was another great Making Of - episode. Seems like they really nailed the choice of director.

It always makes me smile when I find out an actor’s natural accent is British. I would have never guessed their American accents were fake.

Finished the series and have a simple(?) timeline question.

    I
n this show, everytime the timeline bracnhes, it creates a variation of the universe, correct? It's not like Back to the Future II where it's the same people. Evolution can vary like the butterfly effect, which is why all of Asgard can be alligators. It confused me because I kept expecting Loki to only be Tom Hiddleston
