It is recent news that a porn studio just got sued for making a porn parody of 50 Shades of Grey. So yeah 50 Shades of Grey is already so much like a porn film that making a porn parody of it is essentially the same thing...lol. Despite Twilight being so awful I can somewhat "understand" why girls enjoy it...50 Shades of Grey I have no idea why it has gained legitimacy among females.

^same here, if anything it sounds like the twilight movie made for the guys who got dragged to the actual twilight movies by their girlfriends lol.

What it literally is, for those who don't know, is Twilight porno fan-fiction, but with the names changed.

I watched an Alex Day video where he read the forward of the book that stated the original work was named something different and posted on the internet, where the main characters were Bella and Edward.

So if you think about it, 50 Shades of Grey is wildly successful for being Twilight fan-fiction porn. And I guess all Stephanie Myers has to do to get some extra cash is make fan-fiction off of that book, but with her own Twilight characters, and the two authors can feed off of each other for the rest of time!

And I sincerely hope Emma Watson elects not to take on a film adaptation. For one thing I'd probably lose respect for her seeing as how she tends to distance herself from skeeviness and the overall over-sexualized hollywood type, and secondly it's a little too creepy to see an actress who I can still remember seeing for the first time as a little girl all grown up and starring in soft porn. Then again I guess I'm not that much older than her, but still. Just say no Emma.

SO I'm guessing that book has a lot of sex? I know jack**** about it, other than that it is indeed, a book.

Its BDSM commercialized. Started as twilight porn fan-fiction. Publisher bought it and changed the character names and removed the twilight references.

in the universe where women can go watch what is essentially porn in a public non skeevy XXX theater.

Corrected.
C'mon....we're talking "50 Shades of Grey." No *man* is going to watch that, doesn't matter how much (or whose) flesh is on display.

Really? Damn, it would be interesting to hear the reactions of the fans of that book who like me was totally unaware of that. Or maybe they don't care. :woot:

And what exactly is the appeal of watching porn in public? How is that an appealing concept?

I disagree with your points, because I don't see how an actress being in an overtly sexual role is somehow not respectable, it's entirely her choice, and everybody grows up some time and I don't think people should let that sort of thing bother them. I do, however, agree that she should not do it because she's a good actor and the movie is going to be terrible.
