    This is trollocks...

Everyone who is everyone knows the tube is crap, all public transport is crap. To sit there and say otherwise is a complete and utter lie.

I thought she was actually making announcements on the time but this is actually just some fun stuff she did on her own website.

I say they should spend more time trying to get trains to run on time rather than firing perhaps the only comforting thing about going on the tube.

    :down

She was on the radio today talking about it, the Tube people said they thought it was funny, but still fired her anyway.

She also did the "Please hold" she does for phone lines :D

Only applies when you're on the clock at work.

She said her comments on her own website.

I'm aware that ass kissers exist in every single job. But for those who aren't, they have all at one time or another complained about something regarding the company they work for.

Agreed. But it's not like she said it in private, it's on her website, so it's visible to bazillions of people. Still, she's entitled to say what she wants, but then they're entitled to fire her, as well.

So did her comments affect business? From what I've read, everyone in London thinks the Underground could be run better.

I have no idea. I'm just saying that an employer doesn't owe it to an employee to keep them, particularly if they think they have damaged their credibility.

And I always heard the tube put our subways to shame in the U.S.

So I guess businesses lack the ability to handle any and all criticism?

Instead of fixing the problems, they just fire an employee for comments said on their own personal website which wasn't on the company's servers?

And I thought children were dumb****s

LMAO. Reminds me a bit of a dude a few years back (more like 7 years back, but whatever) when we still had a live person doing the announcements. Some guy that worked one of the trains would say stuff like "Now LOOK THE HELL OUT FOR THE DANGEROUS CLOSING DOORS!!" or "Now we'll move along, like a worm through the veins of Stockholm." (wtf?)
