    Happy Halloween, Guest!

Looks like I'm moving (For the 17th time in my life!)

Oh, I know. I have about as much savings as my sound recordist friend who makes almost 3x what I do a year, but she's paying $2000/month on a mortgage by herself. Still, it's scary to think that $2000/month is lower than a good number of rentals in Pasadena and LA. Is having a place in a city that's happenin' REALLY worth that?

Not in the long run but at least your friend is at least doing the right thing by buying. That way it's not a complete waste of money. Heck she might even come away with a big profit in a few years.

Yeah, she's hoping to sell it to a developer. The land she's on has been eyed by developers for a while, which is why her house is a dump (the roof leaks; no cold water so she "flushes" by pouring water into the toilet) because she doesn't see the point of re-doing anything if they're just gonna pay her for the land she's on anyway. :oldrazz:
