Regardless of the overt homo-erotic subtext, The Lost Boys is still one of my favorite movies of all time.

That's the thing. Lost Boys is 80s. I don't know how updating it for a straight to DVD film would work.

Hopefully the sequel will OOZE "2008!" from every pore, so that in 20 years we can look back and say that, just like the first one, it's an absolute product of its time in every way.

I’d say this is little more than a gaffe on the reporter’s behalf, but ya never know – after all, a few weeks back not even Corey Haim was a part of the production. And now that the producers are apparently keen to see the film get a theatrical bow, it does give the production a little more protein for its pack.

According to Playback, Jason Patric will also have a small role in the upcoming “Lost Boys” sequel, “The Lost Boys 2 : The Tribe”.

Though Patric’s career isn’t exactly on fire at the moment, he’s seemingly the type of actor that only accepts parts when he feels they offer something special – such as the one he played in Joe Carnahan’s “Narc”. Does “Lost Boys 2” really fall into that category?

Patric is one of the most selective actors ever!

He only did Speed 2 because of the money.

Although he has made some good choices though, Incognito was a good film.

Seriously though, If Jason Patric is in this one and it goes theatrical, that will be the day.

I don't believe it though. When you have got Tad hilgenbrink as a lead actor, its hardly great stuff is it?

I saw a few minutes of their TV Show. Corey Feldman may not have a great career, but he's living comfortably with this wife. Corey Haim, on the other hand, is a complete trainwreck.

Corey Haim May Not Do ‘Lost Boys’ Sequel After All

Corey Feldman and Corey HaimCorey Haim came by our offices last week for an extended conversation we’ll be rolling out in the very near future (trust me, stay tuned for some great stuff). Among many other things, he talked excitedly about his participation in the long-awaited “Lost Boys” sequel, saying he was about to start filming in Vancouver and that he was “honored” to be a part of it. Corey Feldman meanwhile left for Vancouver last week to film his role.

Now however, the return of Haim in the sequel is looking iffy at best, MTV News has learned exclusively. Haim’s manager called us after our interview to tell us about problems that arose over the weekend. According to her, “There are major logistical obstacles that exist,” referring to immigration problems Haim may have in traveling in and out of the country. She added that Warner Bros. is currently working to rectify these issues. Stay tuned to the MTV Movies Blog for updates on this developing story.

Moviehole reports Kyle Cassie (Devour), Shaun Sipos (The Grudge 2) and Merwin Mondesir will join Angus Sutherland as the The Lost Boys 2's main vamps.

And following up on yesterday's report, the site cofirms Haim is facing trouble getting onto the production. But because he is an "integral" part of the film, Warner Bros. is still working hard to bypass any immigration problems facing the actor.
