Lounge 78

Had a bit of snow outside. Finally looks like winter here. Still glad it wasn't enough too shovel.

Had a new experience today. Gave blood, walked over to the snack table, had a couple Oreos, and promptly passed out. My first time experiencing that. One minute I'm there, the next I'm on the floor, lol, bunch of people fussing over me. I'm okay now but I feel wiped out. I've given blood before, never had that happen. I ate beforehand but clearly not enough. Yikes!

At my former job we had yearly checkups, paid for by the company, everyone went in groups over a week's time to the Business Health office for this. There was this one lady in the office who every year when they took blood passed out.

I've had blood taken for tests before and felt light headed and even blacked out briefly once. It used to be I was fine getting blood drawn but lately if my blood sugar is too low it affects me.

I'm interested in buying beeswax wraps for leftovers. If it decreases my needs for foil, it's a win.

They said it was a blood pressure drop but it had to be sugar, too, because I had three hour nap after lunch and I still feel wasted. My husband says next time we go we'll go in the afternoon instead of morning so I will have had more calories on board. I'm not a large breakfast eater so I clearly didn't eat enough before going. :(

I fell better today but still wiped out. Good thing I'm retired, I couldn't work my shift feeling like this. I'm not afraid to donate again, but I'm going to make sure I've eaten a lot more first. Don't want to feel that again. I’ve never passed out before.

This was my introduction to capybaras and now I feel sad knowing how cute and docile they are:

They are totally adorable and one of my favorites at the zoo. I watch a zoo show where they are super friendly. :)

Walked the dogs and now I can't feel my face. Winter sucks. :(

was outside for a hour feeding the cats, my hands were half frozen since I can't use thick gloves. Hard to open the cans and cups of food. Temps were almost -10 :( next week going be worst though.
