Lounge 78

was outside for a hour feeding the cats, my hands were half frozen since I can't use thick gloves. Hard to open the cans and cups of food. Temps were almost -10 :( next week going be worst though.
I'm not that bad. Geez! Good luck to you and the kitties.

I bundle up with several layers of clothes, my hands the only problem being out there and feeding them, the wet food gets frozen too soon and they mostly want the temptation treats

They want the treats because they taste better, lol.

I’ve had a really, really bad day today, but my anxiety has been building up over the last few months.

I was at the gym for an hour today from 12:00-1pm, and everything was going well, but I was a few minutes late for my bus, and they left me, causing my roommateto pick me up, had to wait a full hour because of construction and traffic.

Then I had my doctor’s appointment. I’ve been dealing with back pain for two months on my lower right side. Worried it would be a spinal tumor, or something.

I’ve also been dealing with GERD for the last three and a half months, but only three weeks ago, did my symptoms start occurring every day with feeling full after the first few bites of a meal, constant acid reflux, heartburn, nausea. Don’t enjoy eating at all anymore.

Went to see my doctor, and she referred me to get an MRI for my lower back. It was her suggestion of getting an endoscopy while being sedated to check my Gerd symptoms. I started crying and had a panic attack because of the suggestion of the endoscopy.

I can’t catch a break lately, having trouble looking for a job, but the back pain and GERD just make me feel like ####!

Hope things get better soon, but I don’t know. Seems like I have bad luck lately.

If it helps, having an endoscopy isn't that bad, I've had several. They give you propafol, which I call the "forget me" medicine. You don't go all the way out. They put the bite guard in your mouth, start to put the camera in, and then you're done. You magically lose a half hour you don't remember. The sedation is so light that you recover quickly. It sounds scarier than it is. It's well worth doing because they'll be able to see exactly what's going on in there. I think you'll find after that it wasn't that bad.

I'm sorry to hear you've been having such a rough go of it as of late, @Pennywise . Hoping the health stuff doesn't turn out as bad as you're fearing and that you're able to find a good job soon. :hrt:

Yeah, endoscopy isn't bad. You will feel great afterwards with the propofol. Just can't do anything the rest of the day. No driving. no heavy machinery, nothing requiring concentration basically.

Thank you! Your opinions have helped turn me around the endoscopy! None of my friends had an endoscopy, so it’s good I asked here.

Will let my doctor make the referral when I see her next month!

It's always a little scary when you haven't done something before and you don't know what to expect, especially if you think it might be painful. I've had four of these and never had pain beyond the IV they used which for me was no big deal.

I'm kind of excited. Found out that Rodger Williams zoo in Providence is sponsoring a day trip to the Bronx zoo on a charter bus. I've always wanted to go but had no desire to drive myself. It wasn't even that much money --$300 for two people (I do zoo trips with my daughter), includes zoo entry. We only pay for food or gift shop. I'm thrilled. It's an all day thing -- 6:30am to 9:30pm, but I figure I can snooze on the bus. I'm so happy! It's May 10th so we won't be roasting. :D

And today I found out one of the things my sister and my brother in law stole from my parents was an Internet hotspot they use to monitor their solar panels. They had to replace that today.

Jesus Christ.
Sounds like someone needs to be uninvited from all future family gatherings until a divorce. :o

I forgot people were dipping their McDonald's soft serve in their McDonald's coffee.

I've dipped my fries in my shakes, but not soft serve in my coffee. Maybe it's because their coffee sucks. :p

Maybe they were just really bored, lol.

I finally watched the Borderlands movie (Bore-derlands might be more apt) and the two best things about it were Tiny Tina and Krieg. The occasional Claptrap joke not withstanding. A waste of talent all around for that clunker.
