Wow, so we can quote Thread Manager ?![]()
Sounds like Fishburne doesnt even wanna come back.
He said he's been a way bigger Marvel fan than DC fan since he was a child so he's probably way happier within the MCU now.
Yeah, you really gotta feel for a guy like Fishburne
Sure he gets to make fun movies like Ant-Man with Paul Rudd and John Wick 2 with Keanu, not to mention all the other projects hes worked/working on.
But hell never get to make true art again.
I think he said he read both but liked Marvel better or something like that. That's why I remembered that.Did he say that somewhere else? Because in this interview, he said he loved both.
Yes, I am one of the people, I'm in that small club of people who have been both in the DC Universe and Marvel Universe, and I'm so grateful. I'm excited by it, because here's the thing, I bought both. I have a collection of both comics. I wasn't just a Marvel guy or just a DC guy, I loved them both.

How do you get that from this?
I don't think I'm still on call. I was unfortunately unable to go do some work on what turned out to be the Justice League movie. I don't know that I need to go back or if they'll have me back or not, but I was grateful to have been a part of it. I loved working with Zack (Snyder), I think he makes an incredible superhero movie. I'm just excited to be a part of this (the MCU) now.
Sounds to me like he's pretty much open to anything, if the opportunity arises, and that the only thing preventing him from doing it is the lack of a movie in the works. He talks about whether the studio would want him back, not if he would want to go back, and he expresses gratitude and praise for his DC experience thus far.

If he enjoyed working on 'fun' movies like Ant-Man and it's sequels then he will enjoy working on DC's Hope and Optimism movies too.![]()

When saying that he loved both growing up, LF is being political, playing safe, it's like when an actor is cast as Superhero X they say, 'I've always been a massive fan of Character X, I read him or her as a boy/girl, having this opportunity is a gift' etc. What that means is a production assistant DHL'ed a stack of editions for them to read last night having spent hours highlighting the text and issue copy numbers that are relevant to them and they skip through with their P.A. before heading on set.
Theres nothing to suggest that he enjoys being apart of one more than the other
Because if WB really cared about making another Superman movie, Fishburne would have been back on set probably filming right now.
Suprman has just appeared in three films between 2013 and 2017. Those films whether we love to hate them have had mixed to negative responses. If anything WB are doing the right thing by taking a little time out to reconfigure things. Which started with putting Hamada in charge of DC films and moving positions etc.
I feel the same way. Of course I'm eager for another Superman film and hope that they're working on getting one off the ground, but I want them to take their time to get it right. It's easier for films to proceed when they already have a team in place. However, regardless of what one thinks of Snyder, he was the captain of the ship for awhile, and Superman more than any other character is affected by Snyder taking a much needed step back from the DCEU. It takes time to find someone new to get on board and even longer to get a script ready, and there was likely always going to be a bit of a pause given I can't imagine that even if JL had gone well that Snyder would've wanted to keep going with the rigors of this type of filmmaking, especially after his daughter's death. I appreciate him wanting to take some time and to work on a passion project instead.
