The worst thing that happened to legit film criticism is when they let the fanboys in. There's a guy literally *****ing about a film made 25 years later not being enough like some poorly budgeted show from the 90's.
My God. Fire these people... just fire them. They have no business critiquing film. I don't give a rat's infected ass about Power Rangers, but if were paid to critique that movie I'd do so based on the film right in front of me and not a TV show from back when I still had cartoon characters on my underwear.
True that. When you are removed from all the drama, it is entertaining though watching everyone losing their minds.
Edit: I always thought Power Rangers were too hokey even for kid me. I just came across Scott Mendelson's review(I like that guy, really funny and insightful and stays away from bias) on twitter, and he described it as a Begins style reboot for PR.
I'll not lie. That does sound interesting. I'll probably watch the movie once it is released digitally. Some of my friends are really interested for this, and I'll take it from them.
