Nope.

Whether Deathstroke will still appear in Reeves' Batman or not is still up in the air at this point.

Strange. People are posting like it's already known. Frankly... I REALLY dislike the actor so I will be fine if he doesn't appear.

I was thinking, if they were to do a prequel Batman movie (with Affleck still on board), they really wouldn't need to do much to de-age him. The guy looks hella young. There's no need to do any digital de-aging just apply some foundation to lighten up his five o'clock shadow and maybe concealer for those slight eye bags and he's good to go. He'll look 25. If they want to go with a different actor for the prequel they could get drew roy. he's spot on as a younger affleck

True story.

I took a stripper friend to see Only God Forgives.

She looks like a thicker, but ill version of Asia Argento. For those 90min or so, I loved her, dont know what to make of that issh, sure dont.

This was the guy who played Hal in Falling Skies, right? I guess I can see some resemblance to Affleck but I doubt they would revisit the Batman origin or formative years anytime soon. Of all things people seem to get tired of when it comes to Batman, the origin story has to take first place.

Just finished Iron Fist, what a piece of **** that was. Christ. I feel bad for the actors who had to deliver those god-awful scripts. Finn Jones' acting was mixed, but the writing really made it seem like he was MUCH worse than he was in reality.

I mean seriously, "Who will I blame for my weaknesses, my failures, my unhappiness?".

Like what the ****? How did Netflix and Marvel approve this, especially considering their incredible other shows? The CGI was abysmal as well, worse than The Flash.

Am I the only one REALLY disappointed with how they handled Iron Fist?

Vietnamese model Minh Tu. A face that might launch 10,000 ships.

So I take it Shou-Lao must have not looked very good.

Not really. They only showed his eyes. There was no fight between Danny and Shou-Lao.

I think folks are blowing it out of proportion since the negative reviews are out there. It's certainly flawed as hell, but if this were the first Marvel/Netflix show I don't think it'd be getting the hate it's getting. Like I said before Iron Fist isn't bingable like Daredevil or Luke Cage. It's a slow burn like Jessica Jones. That makes it seem aimless/directionless until it gets near the end and motivations become clearer.

But there's a lot of good in there too. Colleen Wing's subplot was handled the best since it wasn't developed in short spurts, but spread out through a few consecutive episodes.

That video always cracks me up.

Pretty obvious tbh. A Disney 4quadrant safe remake of a classic was always gonna do better than a divisive almost adultish movie...Didn't everybody predict BaTB was gonna break the record? Not following that movie...

Not shocked to see Beauty take down BvS's March record. The wife an I went last night and I have never seen my theater so jam packed in my life. So much so that I had to park several parking lots over. Kids galore. Had to settle for the bottom rows, which I never had to do before. Big numbers for Beauty incoming for sure.

well even if they hired the guy now we'd probably see the movie in like 2022 at the earliest given the pace of production of these movies. We also pretty much need to revisit Batman's earlier days to show the death of robin, which we have to do considering how heavily it's been hinted at and referenced. I disagree that seeing those "20 years in Gotham" Bruce referred to would be tired and passé.

We haven't seen this heightened reality Batman, in his world that encompasses his rogues gallery. In TDK He was just starting to be an established presence and make a mark and then he quit. We've barely scratched the surface of truly presenting of Batman's rich history and world. I'd love to see this Batman in his prime, going through those seminal two decades that informed and shaped the character we see from BVS onwards. It would skyrocket to my most anticipated DCEU movie regardless of whatever slate we had at the time and I think a sizable amount of people feel the same way.

I'll never watch that trash, but gotta give it to the mouse. It's like they know what the audience want and how. The marketing campaign was perfect. Teasing, magic, excitmant, nobility.

Meanwhile we get a 3 minute trailer, 16 months before the movie is out, and The White Stripes (?) annoying guitar.

I just realized this thread is open for talk outside of JL....

I don't care too much that beauty and the beast took the march record, it was a damn good rendition of the animation (which i totally grew up on!)

First it wasnt really a trailer. Second while I didnt like it, The White Stripes are never annoying. Third, DC marketing for these movies have been pretty good so far, well above average.

Agreed about not seeing the trash mouse serves up doe.

Benal... you post like you're Charlie from Always Sunny. It's not a bad thing.

For example:

I basically view that Comic Con JL footage as a "we're in the middle of production so this is all that we got" sizzle reel. It was not a trailer. Not a frame of Justice League has been marketed as a trailer, and nothing has been shown in theaters.
