I think the stress and burden's been a little less for them since they've got someone to shoulder it with them...but I'll still be surprised if they don't move on to something else after the Infinity movies.

But for the record, I do want to see Patty do a whole WW trilogy. I just meant if she's gonna do something in between those, let it be something else. Unless she genuinely loves Superman and wants to take a shot at it, but I get the impression WW has been her passion from the start, considering how long she's been trying to get this made.

Very true. I'd like to see her do a trilogy as well. I'm a little confused about what time period Wonder Woman 2 would take place in. It seems like I've read conflicting reports of her saying it would be in the past or present.
Also, I'm sure this has been said before, but I think it's interesting that:
Wonder Woman 1 can be abbreviated as WWI.
Maybe #2 is WWII?

I think it is important that they stay in the past so that they can link up to the dangling plot thread of her not becoming disillusioned with mankind (that is unless they cover this in JL then go for present day) and I think WWII and its death camps and internments camps, and the fact that they are on both sides would be enough to discourage her.

I was thinking about SS the other day (courtesy of GothamBat) and thinking about it again, I think a Deadshot movie in the vein of that little flashback he had would be pretty kickass. If they did it, it would be cool to take on the secret six who are on the payroll for whatever dictator he has been assigned to take out, they could make it a buddy/partner effort where it is a solo mission for Deadshot with him being supervised by Flagg.

Then the 6 could return in a SS sequel adding on King Shark, Black Alice, and Catman.

Whether it is in the past or present I'd like to see the secret six in it, if it is a prequel then I'd like to see him brought on by the benefactor mockingbird (whoever they want it to be as it varies in the comics, sometimes it has been Lex, sometimes it has been Waller and sometimes other people) with the team comprised of Bane, Deadshot, Cheshire, Ragdoll, Scandal Savage, and Knockout, at the end of the mission deadshot bails, after Cheshire had already betrayed the group during the mission resulting in the death of Ragdoll.

It would kind of defeat the point of giving the character it's own solo outing if he went right back to being part of a group and sharing the spotlight. The point of spinning the character off is for Will to take center-stage and headline the movie so he can make the character a hit on it's own, rather than as part of an ensemble.

It was probably in his contract before he signed on to Suicide Squad "If I sign on, I get my own solo movie". He's seen how it works. If a character is already popular and part of the cultural zeitgeist like Spider-man or Superman then it doesn't belong to you and you just end up being one person in a roster of people who momentarily slips on the costume for a few movies.

Iron man was an example of a C-list character of relative obscurity being popularized by the actor's portrayal, being reinvented and being introduced to mainstream movie-goers for the first time. RDJ owns Iron man at this point. I think Will wants to pull an Iron man with Deadshot and was willing to temporarily share the spotlight to make it happen. Just like Iron man in the MCU bears basically no resemblance to Tony Stark in the comics and is instead just RDJ playing himself, the same can be said about Deadshot.

that second option is the more likely one. Speaking of him not wanting to share the spotlight, he'll probably leave Task force X at the end of the sequel which according to Kinnaman will start filming in 2018 btw

Would be kind of cool if it became a trilogy and in the third movie all the original members were back including Harley, Deadshot and maybe even Diablo who would have survived. Probably getting to ahead of myself there though

I personally want Diablo to become the villain of JLD, made possible by way of him regaining his godly memories (I personally believe Diablo is a god reincarnated into human form and the act of doing so caused him to lose his memories possible godly candidates he could be are the Aztec god of War: Huitzilopochtli, the Aztec God of Fire: Xiuhtecuhtli, or Xolotl the Aztec god of Fire, Lightning and Death; I tend to swing most towards Huitzilopochtli and Xolotl as they fit the best after browsing their Wikipedia articles) when he was about to die and using that newfound knowledge to keep himself from dying. With Diablo's villainous character arc being his human side fighting to wrest back control from his bloodthirsty Godly side which intends on resurrecting the rest of the Aztec pantheon to rule the earth.
