Thats true, but I dont think she is lying, I want to believe.
I think that Rian Johnson thing is true for most big blockbusters. All big studios, WB, Disney, Fox you name it. They are all about creative freedom...as long as your vision lines up with theirs. Which is twisted, but just the way it is.
My biggest issue with WW was that you could still tell the studio interfered and what's worst - you can even tell which scenes they interfered.
Not hugely but some of the moments didn't breathe - you could practically hear 'we must make the movie shorter!'. I'm sure 99% movies out there are being shortened in fear they will be too long for the audience but this was the only movie in a very long time where even my extremely untrained eye spotted dodgy editing. So I wonder if it was also something that they were rushing through.
