Little girl from Shazam was making the rounds last night.

I’m pretty sure this same thing happened when Ayer showed the Squad lineup. Athough i think the fans were justified in freaking out about “damaged” Joker, that was just dumb af.

Even Ayer ended up conceding the tattoo was a bad idea, lmao.

Universal is ditching the Dark Universe and having Blumhouse reboot their monsters.

Saw the BoP teaser and first looks earlier and loved them.

I also knew right away that it would make plenty of nerds have breakdowns and made me love it even more.

Purist nerd tears are delicious.
BoP teaser is pure gold. I hope the whole films is going to be this weird, glitter, neon, gothic, emo, edgy ride. Otherwise, DCEU needs to die for good.

My man, while I share your passion, I don't share your anger.

Other than JL, I can pretty much say that I LOVE all of the DCEU movies this far (even SS, because you can love parts of something while not caring/disliking other parts), and since there's no rule of physics (the only rules I'm forced to obey) saying that I can only like one flavor of ice cream, the same applies to tones and approaches in CBMs; the mythic/Excalibur, political thriller/character driven/"Superman in OUR real world" approach in BvS gave me something I always wanted, and so did Aquaman with its balls-to-the-wall, "bananas" approach. I rock "clown clothes" and 3-piece suits, such is life ;)

That said, you mentioned NWR in your previous post, and that's the same vibe I got from the teaser; I love the weird, offbeat, neon-frenzy/punk vibe they're going for, and I hope that - if WB is really committing to the "director driven" thing - we see more or these original interpretations of these characters.

You can have it all, ya know? And while you don't need to love every single creative decision, you can enjoy a lot more if you allow yourself to.

I loved that BoP teaser. Felt like a weird indie flick. Messina is a damn treasure.

This makes me even more excited for the DCEU. Really seems like they're trusting their talent to get the job done in the way that makes the most sense for them to do it. Exciting times imo.

It's not about flavours, it's about good films. Some of my favourite films are parodies/comedies, believe it or not. But those films don't have Aquaman level trash script and jokes. And that's the difference. It's not about flavours.

Except they had to ruin Snyder's JL and get rid of him... Yea, just great... :o :cmad: Gotta love how WB trust everyone except for the most talented guy. F*** it. :whatever: :wall:

I still love him...

I find him to be the most "comic accurate" Joker we ever had (when it comes to theatricality and demeanor, and also in style if you transpose the point of his look in relation to his personality from 1940 to 2016); and if my ritual sacrifices bear fruits, hopefully we'll see him return with the same style and look (I'm completely indifferent to the "Damaged" tattoo, but since it pisses so many people off, please keep it!)....but with a better script and angle to the character.

P.S: That first gif is the take they used in the first trailer, not the movie, which I think was a mistake since the trailer take is a lot more unsettling IMO.

A "good film" is subjective and completely dependent on a person's tastes and sensibilities. You don't get to decide what's a good film to other people.

I find it amusing how some of you guys feel like this franchise is eating away at your soul or something. Find the things you like, be happy about it and ignore the rest. DC movies aren’t going away any time soon.

lol it's subjective af, like Consona's "good films" would be in a different dimension to say, Kane's, vise versa =P

repost from BOP thread

Lol thank god it's a screen test

because if that's the tone then I thought it's gonna be 2 hours of Chanel commercial with Margot and Ewen, and all the villains and Margot smiling and being friendly.....definitely more of BTS vibe than the actual movie

Margot going on about she felt she was half naked in SS, lol, this is like more naked than that (nothing compared to Wolf of Wallstreet tho lol)

IDK, maybe the tone is perfect to attract girls because you could slap a perfume at the end and it'll probably sell like hot cakes

I hope Harley gets actual costumes, like, she's gonna lead the trend so IDK if I wanna see teen girls dressed up as peacocks on the street lol

Don't get Ewen as Leto vibe, it's just BTS so Leto was doing more BTS in SS for me lol

Cassandra's the WTF for me and the most Ayer like design, unless she's doing her BTS posing. Or she's gonna be the boy from The Hunt for the Wilderpeople

No, but I don't want to sit through another Aquaman piece of crab sequels while Snyder can't even get his last DC film released, either.

I wish I could read that much into a 20 second video that hasn't officially been called anything other than ''See You Soon''.

The aesthetics got me the most. It just feels different, in a good way. IMO.

Something I really like, and I'd like to see spread out among other CB characters, is a varied wardrobe.

Of course heroes like Superman, Batman, Flash, etc, have uniforms for different reasons; but characters like Joker, Harley, etc, it makes more sense for them to wear different clothes, ya know, like people do.

I know in the comics everybody wears their spandex uniforms all the time, but not everything needs to be 100% translated from page to screen, and many villains have impossibly ridiculous outfits too, so I'm more than cool with doing away with them.

A perfect example? Captain Boomerang. The movie look is a million times superior to his comic look (IMHO, of course).

Your hate for Aquaman is on the same level as people’s beef with BvS. Like you really need to make others feel the same way you feel when your favourite movie was not received well.

lol

So don't sit through them, fam.

I'm just waiting till NWR gets his hands on comicbook film and watch the geek fandom fall.

I'd say DC would be more up his alley, but even then, I doubt he'll ever touch one. Maybe a Mark Millar thing, or an indy comic book?

Well, now that the elseworld label is up and running with JOKER, I can only hope to see his WW movie one day. Yes, give me Christina Hendricks in that one piece suit.
