Lounge of Justice - Part 90

WW84 is fun, the only cringe was the mall sequence which just had some terrible acting. Cheetah actually looks pretty good, even better in close-ups. I can see how some are turned off by the cheesiness but the messages in the film are pretty solid.

I enjoyed the first WW more but would still recommend this one.

Agreed I thought it was good. The cgi could've been much better given the time they had. My cringe moment is the goodbye between WW & Steve and her running away after that. But other than that it was good.

Edit: the ending could've been better as well.

watching Batman Returns and I gotta say, if my Batman is gonna be a raging murderous psychopath, make mine Keaton. He just makes it look so cool.

god I love that movie

Just finished WW1984, loved it, and I think I actually prefer it to the first one. Wiig was fantastic as Cheetah, and Pascal made a pretty damn great Maxwell Lord. Gadot and Pine were as great as ever. My main quibble is with how dark the lighting was for the final Wondy v Cheetah fight, but that's about it. 8/10.

I legit believe they were nervous about the backlash to Cats so putting that scene in darker light helps to eh, maybe hide a bit of the CGI imperfections. That’s why I thought the close ups in Cheetah were awesome. She looked creepy and the route Patty Jenkins went with her design were awesome.

The fight scene between her and Diana in the White House was much better imo. I liked how Jenkins managed to sort of incorporate the Priscilla Rich look in that scene before she transformed into the classic design we all know at the end. I hope we see more of her.

I agree and only wish (oof, maybe we shouldn't make any more wishes..hehe) that we could have seen more of that classic Cheetah design. I had no idea we'd only get one scene with classic Cheetah and really, how could they bring her back if her transformation was from the stone?

Interesting gif reaction. I'm interested to know more of your thoughts.

Maybe they could a Legion of Doom movie with the classic lineup? Cheetah was a member in the comics and shows, they could reverse her transformation and include her as a member.

I liked the movie. Not as good as WW, but better than any DCEU movie post WW. Solid 7.5/10. Definitely not as silly or cheesy as people are saying. Its a good movie imo, liked it way more than I expected.

Merry Belated Christmas folks!

Watched WW84 yesterday afternoon and would give it a 7.2-7.5. It was OK. I think as others have stated it was a bit campy in the first... half of the movie. The villain being a bit hammy kind of brought that out a bit more too. There were quite a few scenes where you would have to suspend your disbelief. Action was solid, but more unnatural looking. I really loved those emotional moments though. Definitely shed a tear or two. Acting was overall good from the main characters. Story was good, but may needed to be tightened up a bit more. I do like the themes within the movie. It was shot well and the score was good.

I find it interesting...
How they presented WW at this time. It seems she really only interfered when people's lives were imminently at stake. She saves the jogger, saves the bride falling, and saves the kid being held hostage. She doesn't interfere with more of the minor crimes, the joy riders, the kids stealing, and the beginning of the robbery. Also, she is not really at the forefront as she doesn't stick around and destroys the surveillance equipment.
