Lounge of Justice - Part 90

I actually don't like watching these prologues before I see a movie. I like going in without seeing fully uncut scenes. Every Nolan movie where I watched the prologue(which has been every one that had one), I now skip or am bored by on every re-watch.

Yeah, it's being released online tomorrow.

In true Nolan fashion, there's also a 6 minute prologue attached to IMAX screenings of TROS.
Good. Can't wait to hear Goransson's music, hope it's not a disaster.

Big budget movies are not immune from Studio meddling, especially when the Studio is unsure how general audience will respond to the original script.

Terrio's writing skills can shine the most on low budget/ medium budget films on Netfilx.

Time for Chris Terrio to leave big blockbuster movies alone

I genuinely feel bad for him. After BvS and JL, he thought he would never work again. Then JJ ends up reaching out because of Argo and another political thriller he wrote. Hopefully that doesn't blacklist him. I definitely agree that he will likely need to take a step back and do more of those smaller films to build on.

I don't put JL on him and I thought BvS was fantastic although I would love to know what Goyer's script was like.

I'm gonna laugh-out-loud-spit-my-drink-out if Cats ends up with a higher RT than TRoS.

David Ayer is directing another movie for WB (after all that happened with SS), I'm sure Terrio will also get more work soon.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying that I put blame on him for JL. I think most people know that I like BvS a great deal and didn't really have a major problem with his writing. The fact is though that both of those films did not receive good reception critically and regardless of how much of his original script was in JL, his name is still attached to it. I'm just stating what Chris said in recent interviews.

Thats so ironic because SS was kinda supposed to be more comic booky ‘dirty dozen.’ Lol

Did critics hate Terrio's dialogues this time?

Because I mean he only write the script, based on director's vision and direction, it's like blaming the henchman for his boss' poor planning each time

Like JJ and Kenney are the ones that need to take the heat, not others, but hey it might open to 300M in the weekend and then we'll be like "this is the greatest film ever!!"

and it's fun to see people suffer and argue because of RT scores, lol, the tomatoes shapes half the society's opinion and debate with the other half who are more obsessed with their own opinion, like me =P

I obviously haven't seen the movie. If the film is bad I ultimately put it on the director. I see some stating a convoluted story which both Abrams and Terrio should take a hit on and some mentioning the exposition filled dialogue which falls more so on Terrio. Now I never think of Star Wars as having great scripts but the fact that several reviews mentioned a poor story/script makes me think it's bad even by the usual standards.

Well, you better start wearing bibs, cause it looks like it'll be a reality.

Sure about that? The Cats embargo hasnt lifted yet and its out in less than two days....that ones probably going to be an absolute catastrophe (see what i did there?)
