Lounge of Justice - Part 90

I vaguely remember stories about Affleck being overwhelmed a bit even during BVS filming,
I don't think so, he gave his best performance for BvS, the only time he was overwhelmed was when he had to face fans at Comic Con.

I now remember one of his interview where he talked about the task of filming a comic book movie and how Snyder manages to use both story boards and CGI in his movies, he felt overwhelmed by that process but it was nothing negative.

I also just look at Ben's filmography recently and it doesn't surprise me that JL was the nail in the coffin. Gone Girl, The Accountant, Triple Frontier, and now The Way Back. And even BvS itself. He took on these characters with failing marriages and compulsive behaviors. Characters who struggle with substance abuse and repression.

I think he was able to see himself in a lot of these roles and when the biggest of them all went sideways, compounded with everything else, it nearly broke the guy in half. A Batman so riddled with guilt from his violent past that he tries to sacrifice himself in a suicide mission? That sounds more in line with the kinda roles Ben has been interested in lately. What he ended up with was barely even a shadow of that and became the thing that defined his career for awhile.

**** that. I'd have definitely dropped out too.

He was in rehab several times earlier also, but I suppose it got worse. The main thing was "Live by Night" movie's failure, which he was heavily invested in as he was the Producer, writer and director, during the movie's promotion he was asked questions about BvS' failure. Then after "Live By Night" bombed, the issues with his divorce and alcoholism got him, apart from the fact that he was not satisfied with "The Batman" script writing process.

Just look at figures, people nowadays are so eager to call Birds of Prey as flop, Live By Night had similar budget of $90 M, and it was also "R" rated

Live By Night (2016)

Domestic $10M
International $12M
Worldwide $22 M

I heard one of the scoopers saying he's the tightest with Snyder out of the whole cast, so wouldn't be surprised if he felt disgusted as hell in 2017 when they did the fake promotion on Snyder's exit.

Just imagined a 3d poster where there is a face one side made up of Joaquin's face the other with say, one of Dicaprio/Gosling/Pattinson, next second it flashes to those 2 in costume and make ups as Joker and Bat

So much win and $$$$ right there

Would love to see psychotic Dicaprio going up against psychotic Phoenix, and improvise as they film in this indie art house CBM film

Daniel Day Lewis returning from his retirement to play Gotham's Mad hatter would be epic, going against Joqker and Capiriddler to control Gotham City, the Academy members would lose their minds. :o

The underground transport track can ban people from fast routes?

I think I'll go buy a sandwich and claim loudly Joss Whedon > Zack Snyder.

That's a word salad article title if I've ever heard one.
