Lounge of Justice - Part 90

Has anybody here watched Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No tales (the 5th one)? Me and my gf watched all the movies last week and we had never seen 4 and 5. The fourth one was ok but not as good as the first 3. But then we watched 5 and my god, it was so bad. All the characters were bland, the story tired and Jack barely felt like a character. Did they run out of footage of him because Depp was always late and drunk or what? Shocking how bad that movie was, basically a direct-to-dvd sequel that somehow made its way to theaters.

I saw the first Pirates movie (which was OK) and then saw Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, and given how bad it was, I decided to skip every thing from that franchise

I like DMC more than most but AWE is a pile of ****. :D :csad:

These days I really enjoy DMC. Not more than the first (Jack was the best version of his character in the first, imo), but...still quite a bit. With AWE, I love the part everyone else seems to hate (the surrealist bit in the "Locker"), but not so much the rest. The Zimmer scores for those two were both awesome, though.

I'll be honest - this never happens to me, but I genuinely can't remember if I've seen that one. I know I've seen On Stranger Tides (which was such a waste of Ian McShane as Blackbeard which should've been amazing), but I can't for the life of me recall anything about #5, not even trailers. Suffice it to say, if I DID see it, which seems like something I would do...it was extremely forgettable, lol.

Wow, he was heavily into drugs at that time.

I also feel like Zimmer's scores elevated the second and third Pirates' film onto another level.

I would consider those films good examples to use when showing others on how a film's score can really make a big difference. Which is why I wish someone else had worked on the score for "Captain America: Civil War".

I’ma be real pissed off if WB delays production on this yet again. Dwayne “the biggest movie star in the world” Johnson is ready to go, lets get this movie goin already. Smh

Understandable. Though I do hope that his health hasn't been compromised by his recent recovery from COVID.

To be fair, the last round of delays were COVID related. WB makes a lot of blunders but that one was out of their hands.

I just rewatched the Fandome tease and Good Lord Dwayne sold the Hell out of that movie. Thats how you do a damn teaser.

Also, hot take, Disney’s invester presentation was cool and all but DC Fandome brought in harder hits. I felt more hyped coming out of Fandome. But das just me.
